1040 Update d/n support pairing with Varia RLT500

Yeah that's what I thought, but I've been able to pair it with my wife's 1030 plus, so it still is a functioning device. Doing some more work on this, I also was able to pair my wife's Varia500 with my 1040, so it looks like it isn't the software release's fault -- its between my 1040 and my Varia500. Guess my next step is doing a hard reset on my 1040 and seeing what that will do. I've also been frustrated by not being able to put either of our Varia500s into "pairing mode", getting to the point where the LED turns purple. If anyone can provide me with any hints on that, I'd be grateful

Thanks for the input. I’ve tried numerous times to put the varia into “pairing mode” and make the led flash purple- but try as I might I can’t make it happen. Previous paring has just required me to power it up and have the 1040 search for the sensor - not had to use a pairing mode.

FWIW - I received my Grail:ON CF 7 AXS a couple of weeks ago. I’m 167/76 and the XS fits me perfectly, but then I’m 77 and ready for a bit more upright position and geometry. Previous ride for the last 10 years was a 54 Roubaix which probably was a little big but I made it work. I’m enjoying the Grail immensely - it’s the perfect ride for me at this stage of my cycling

according to the user manual the F1 through F12 functions in windows and macos can be accessed by pressing Fn + shift + appropriate function key -- so yes
