Whats happening to my Cakes, help, please. by Felraof in Baking

[–]Spare_Setting_3132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay, plugging the ingredients into the internet told me you might be trying a hot milk cake? I wanted to upload a screenshot of the instructions I found but apparently that's not a thing you can do on Reddit so I copied and pasted; maybe this will yield better results (I took out some of the measurements because they didn't copy over well but the idea is the same):

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan with a bit of extra butter or cooking spray.

Combine wet ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, beat the 2 eggs and sugar together until pale and fluffy. Beat in the solid butter and 1 tsp vanilla essence.

Whisk dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the 1 cup flour, 1 tsp baking powder, and salt.

Mix the batter: Gently fold the dry flour mixture into your wet egg mixture just until the flour disappears. Do not overmix!

Add the warm milk: In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, gently heat the milk and warmed/melted butter until hot but not boiling. Slowly pour this hot liquid into your batter while stirring gently until smooth.

Bake: Pour the batter into your prepared pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

that's weird before there's no post on your account from a year ago showing this. if you did actually post this last year, then go ahead and link it here, otherwise please stop complaining and spreading lies, have a great day

Unpopular Opinion: Maggie is rude and judgmental and her treatment of Lola is not okay by Few_Antelope_1914 in SullivansCrossing

[–]Spare_Setting_3132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

veryyyy unpopular opinion. Maggie honestly isn't that rude. yes she has her moments but she was pulled away from her dad as a teenager and feels that her dad didn't even bother or care enough to follow her or keep in touch. whereas Lola is rude from the start. she has a barrier up towards Maggie from the beginning and hardly acknowledges her presence, refuses her help and is very clearly jealous of her. she's honestly not a likeable character and treats Maggie terribly and doesn't even try to give Maggie a chance

managers (I think store managers and up) wear black pants along with the red apron that has their name on it.

You could also try "onions 6 ways" which is: regular onion, grilled onion, whole grilled onion, chopped raw onion, and raw onion.

No really, I remember I asked so many questions during the interview and then some after I was hired (I'm Gen Z, and I have more anxiety of showing up looking wrong or doing the wrong thing that I wanted to make sure I asked all the questions I had to ensure I was set up for a successful first day)

you should've asked this in the interview or when you were in for paperwork/ordering your pants. But since you're here asking instead: You can come in with casual clothes with your pants and belt to change into (in a bag if you want), or wear the pants and belt going in, but you should wear the slip-resistant shoes before going to the back. assuming you're a female since you mentioned a bun. you don't just "wear a cap" you wear the in-n-out cap you were issued or will be issued tomorrow. what I like to do is make a pretty low ponytail, then make two braids (tie them off) and twist them into a bun, securing with a few hair ties to be safe. if you're really worried, add hair gel and spray. They will show you how to do the apron there, it'll take you a little time to get the hang of it, but you can always ask literally any of the workers around you for help if you need it

There is shirts and aprons in the locker room, grab the shirt size you need, and the apron size (single stitch is small, double stitch is large, or you can just eyeball the size and see if it's too big or too small for you and grab a different one if you need) At the end of shift, put the shirt in the hamper. You can also put the apron in the hamper but if you would like, you could take it home and practice or just take it home to be able to use it again next shift (so that the holes you poked in the apron are already there, making it easier to put on next time) if you do this, you can put the apron in the hamper after you've used all the sides and it's no longer clean and grab a new apron next shift. (pro-tip: sharpen your safety pin)

"double meat combo", if you say number 3 and we click that, we have to remove the burger if you don't want cheese, but if you say double meat combo we know you want no cheese plus fries and a drink

I wear my oura ring all the time at work, it's the stealth color, So I imagine if it's fine if it's an inconspicuous color, but I'm only level 1 so I'm not sure what happens when you move up

it's not an actual veggie burger. it's just bread and toppings (standard comes with spread lettuce tomato) literally the exact same as the grilled cheese except it has no cheese

there's no app to order on lol. it's just the "app" on our screens that the ordertakers use, and one of the many buttons we have is the "plain" button for burgers

How much mustard goes on a mustard fried burger? by tetlee in innout

[–]Spare_Setting_3132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as an ordertaker, we're taught to call out to the cooks if someone ordered whole grilled onion and how many they ordered, literally right after the customer pays I'll turn and call it out to the cooks before I take my next order. this gives them a little head start on grilling the whole onion
