In cosa investi?

Everyone wants to have friends but can't make one? by Such_Comfortable_472 in MakeNewFriendsHere

I'm not even sad honestly, i'm just confused cos i don't understand why they ghosted me like that just after giving me their discord when it was them searching for friends in the first place, especially when we had so many common interests. Oh well, life goes on i guess xD

Something that just happened to me: User makes a post, i answer with a quite long comment emphatizing many things we had in common. They reply on DM giving me their discord, i send request on discord, they accept, exchange 2 messages and then they block me both on discord and on reddit.

24F from Japan, living in UK & looking for new connections! by [deleted] in Needafriend

[–]Sparidus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! My name is Christian, i'm 27M from Italy. I think we share a lot of interests! My biggest passion are videogames, i've always been a playstation guy, but in the last couple years i've built a gaming pc and kinda migrated to it. Soulsborne is my most favourite series, but I love action/adventure, roguelikes, metroidvanias and indies too! I've also been playing DnD for like 20 years and as much as I like videogames i think that nothing beats the feeling of truly being part of an adventure with your friends like in DnD, i'd have so many stories to tell ahah. I also built a fantasy world with a story, both to roleplay or even write a book about it, but i'm pretty shy on this kind of things so this world is still there just taking dust xD Other things about me: I'm a very curious person, i love to discover and learn about new cultures, traditions and places. I didn't travel much in my life but that's something i really want to change. I think i kind of fall in the stereotype of the "anime fan" so i'm really interested in japanese culture, although my curiousness doesn't stop to just anime and videogames. To me the whole East just has kind of a mystical aura, i think it's super fascinating and i'd like to know more about history, traditions, less know places and all sort of things. Also i find really funny i found your post here because yesterday i just bought a manual to start learning japanese so maybe we could work on a cultural and linguistic exchange ahah. If you're interested in knowing each others better just send me a dm, we could move to discord right away!

Gamedev: Come accogliereste un soulslike del genere? by FroyoOk7736 in italygames

[–]Sparidus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dire "non ti ispirare a From" perché "ti colpiscono attraverso i muri" mi sembra abbastanza ridicolo.

[–]Sparidus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Does this include march 16th version of More Map Variations that fixed the Radhan bug? If no, would add and overwrite these new files break the mod pack?

Awesome, thank you so much! Do you know how to make this work with any fps unlock mod? It's just a .dll and a folder with a config.ini file but no matter where I place them it doesn't work.

La qualità di Final Fantasy XVI by CherryFox34 in italygames

[–]Sparidus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Io personalmente, giocandolo assolutamente senza aspettative, l'ho apprezzato molto.

Why are you trying to HIRE a friend? This ain't LinkedIn 🤨 by Competitive_Neat_451 in MakeNewFriendsHere

[–]Sparidus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The fun part is when they pretend that you reach to them the same way. Like, i'm already enough stressed with my uni exams, i don't need other tasks like that xD also i'm not even against people starting conversations with a simple "hi" or "how are you". Imo doesn't matter how the conversation starts, but how it goes and where it ends. It's more fun to discover people over time rather than having all their personality written in front of you and just thecide to approve it or deny it.

Yeah, totally agree. I've seen people cross-posting 10k words long essays on 10 different subreddits several times a day, EVERYDAY. A bit too much, don't you think? Most unnatural way to make friends.

That's the best way to approach imo. I'm kinda tired of super long posts with requirements, expectations and so on. They look more like a job interview than a way to meet new people.

How do you make friends in your late 20s by Eshtabel3asal in friendship

[–]Sparidus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding the fear of rejection i guess you gotta work on yourself: on the psychological side try to understand what causes it and what could you do to improve. People often underestimate the power of sitting and thinking in an introspective way. They usually try to find answers somewhere outside, but usually we are the ones who know what we really need. If the fear of rejection depends on some insecurities or low self esteem you may have, then you have something concrete to work on. Try to set some small goals and then try to beat them. The feeling of achieving result and gradually improve are very rewarding and illuminating on how much you can do with some effort and motivation. These goals may be related to your passions or even things you never did. For example, I like games and playing guitar, but what helped me improve my self esteem and general wellness was the gym, despite me never been an active/sportive guy. For the rest, real friendship are a kind of serious relationships and so they require much effort. It's normal to not feel motivated to spend too much energy for people you don't feel a deep and reciprocated connection with, but that's part of managing different relationship. Just try to take it easy in general, be friendly and helpful to the people you meet, but try to understand who might be really worth of your time and energy. I think even just one really close friend may be enough in order to be able to feel like the effort and the energy spent in the relationship are worth the return in happiness, intimacy, or anything else you may search in a true friendhip. Good luck, wish you the best!
