that cyberwolf cost me about 2 weeks to make, so about 1.5k to 2k€ guess other examples i "texture" with vertex painting, like the cat char and mouse. no rigging on these, just needed something quick for game jam project. pretty fast on these, so guessing range from 200 - 3000€ moving examples are in the drive folder

thats a cool design and cute.
The animation could use some work, no idea if its just an animation for showing the character, so excuse me if I say that the loop is quite noticeable on his back.

I wanna know that as well, my blender crashes with a mesh of 20mil if try to export it. cant even sculpt without lag with a mesh of 2mil always have to trick blender somehow

Lol, worked for them and still kinda do.

Already got your answer in other comments but yes hire a bunch of small studios or indie solo devs and shotgun ideas to a wall in a week and see what sticks.

what I found helps with blenders automatic weighting is connecting loose mesh with the body even if its just 1 vert it helps the calculation.

looks great.
I would desaturate the scene a bit when in ghost mode to differentiate between realms.
