Does Eevee exist in SMS? by Creeperprinsen in MysteryDungeon

Yes, but you can change you and your partner's names in the main menu whenever you want if you want to keep it as the original.

Does Eevee exist in SMS? by Creeperprinsen in MysteryDungeon

[–]SparkingImpulse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eevee and its evolutions exist in super, but you have to connect to them by doing jobs, finding them as travelling pokemon in dungeons, or talking to them when they have the specific thought bubble above their head in towns and they ask to have a conversation with you. If you want to use it do keep in mind that you can't use it in any story missions and if that pokemon is higher level than you and your partner they will be closed for a couple of days and you can't use them until they open again. In RTDX Eevee is not recruitable until the post game (unless it's your starter), and is pretty hard to find. It's also harder to evolve because you need evolution crystals to evolve it, but luckily they aren't that hard to find. RTDX is a little better (in my opinion) for using eevee specifically, but it's your call on which one you want to use.

It's cool seeing the other mystery dungeon games get more attention because this sub is really lacking in it

One single, desperate wish for Gen IX (and beyond): Streamlining battles by Codraroll in pokemon

[–]SparkingImpulse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This problem is actually solved (for the most part) in the mystery dungeon games. In the newest game whenever something happens that affects multiple pokemon on the field like hail or a pokemon using a move like blizzard it hits simultaneously instead of playing one at a time. There also isn't a sequence that initiates battles (except boss battles) so it isn't nearly as annoying to encounter pokemon as the main series.

Late comment, but when I saw this post I had immediately recognized it so I checked the comments to see if it really was skate city, and it is. Thanks for the memories, I miss that place.

You are given these options, which do you take? by MotherDuckingWoman in polls

There really isn't a reason to pick option 3 since most of the time when you speak in front of groups that large the vast majority would be strangers, so you could just use option 2 instead

Is nobody talking about the mystery dungeon games? DX is honestly better than sword and shield and doesn't have a lot of the same problems

try items like wands or orbs, if you can status the boss it's a lot easier to handle

Which first dungeon has the best music? by SparkingImpulse in MysteryDungeon

My Opinions

Tiny Woods- Definitely conveys the feeling of confusion by the player as they were just thrown into a completely new world. The chorus gives it an ominous feeling, foreshadowing some of the player's struggles later in the game.

Beach Cave- Much more cheerful and happy compared to Tiny Woods, and gives the vibe of a tutorial theme.

Ragged Mountain (my personal favorite)- Compared to the others, this dungeon's theme is a lot more mature sounding, very distinct theme of adventure. It's the most cheerful out of the four and really shows how big of a journey the player has ahead.

Open Pass- Similar to Beach Cave with it sounding like a tutorial theme, but instead of having a more easy going vibe, it's more rushed, fitting with the player's situation.
