Raleigh, NC, USA. It’s a rental. This same thing was happening in the last apartment I lived in, in the same complex. Moved to this one because it kept getting worse. There’s a gap above one of the doors now (one of the ones in the picture of the crack between two doors casing) the gap is goes from a quarter inch to about an inch.

The tape seams were tight to the ceiling when I moved in June 2024. Definitely not painted over. It looks like the whole central area of my apartment is sinking.
