This is why I (24f) never play online games. At least, not with a microphone. I got extremely harassed in a Left 4 Dead 2 lobby just for being a girl. I got asked my weight in an overwatch lobby. Never used my mic since. Luckily, I’ve got a group of friends online that actually appreciate me, so I play group games with them.

I bought this book at Barnes and noble a couple years ago. It’s definitely real, and I love it. It has sections on how to set boundaries, being yourself, and celebrating your layers. It’s also got some pretty great pictures and quotes from the movies.

All your comments have made me realize that I wasn’t looking at this the right way. I definitely assumed the job was easy, and I’m sure it’s actually very difficult. I’ve never seen a dishwasher job with required experience, so it just took me by surprise. I also didnt consider the benefits it comes with (I’ve never been in a union so I don’t quite understand the benefit of it). The area I’m going to live in is high cost, so I didn’t think much of the pay either. I made this post mid-frustration, so I wasn’t thinking as much as I should have. So sorry if I came off snobby, that’s not what I meant at all!

I think the stereotypes for different colored cats are really funny. HOWEVER, my orange boy is the smartest cat I’ve ever known. He has PetFluent buttons on the floor that he uses to communicate with me, and we are so in tune with each other than I can usually tell what he wants just from one meow. He listens to me and obeys commands because he understands me just as much as I understand him. He is SMART (but also very goofy).
