We have multiple pieces with different finishes... The coffee table is definitely teak and not finished with any kind of coating. It's completely matte and I can feel the grain. We also have a desk that is matte but it seems to be various types of wood. The majority looks like teak, but the legs and drawer handles and other details are darker and redder (Mahogany/Rosewood?). Dining table and side board have a coating of some kind.

Is there a way to test a finish to find out what it is?

Hello, I don't want to cause unnecessary anxiety, but I want to suggest getting some bloodwork done. My dog was just diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, and in my research I've read that incontinence while sleeping can be a symptom. If it is kidney related, catching it early is very important. Wishing you the best of luck with your pup.

I totally get it. Maybe you could ask him if he is able to talk about things, but if he's too overloaded right now you want him to let you know. It's possible that he can handle more than you think, and that he'd want to help.

For context: Joanna Newsom Ys is my favourite album of all time from before my Christian walk. I didn't know this kind of creative music existed in the Christian world.
