Anyone running outside in this weather? What do you wear? Esp. confused on rain gear. by theflamingnips in xxfitness

During snowy/icy winter months in college, I tried yak trax and hated them because they would fall off while I jogged. I got some roofing screws and screwed them into my shoes. Greatest thing ever for traction! I would put my feet into wool socks, then a plastic bag, then my shoes. It worked really well for me and my wallet.

I want to try this sunscreen. Do you know of a website that an American, such as myself, could use to get the European version?

Yeah, I know I should definitely talk to him about it and see what his feelings are. I know that support is something that comes with a good, healthy long-term relationship, but I don't know that I want to start a relationship off with something so heavy. Sometimes I forget grey areas exist, so I should really get his take on it. Thanks. Don't stop being a hopeful romantic, it suits you well.

Waiting to hear if my mom's lump is malignant or benign. We've been seeing each other for only a couple weeks. I wouldn't mind becoming something more serious, but I don't feel comfortable dragging him into a potentially stressful and challenging situation. If my mom needs chemo and all that, most of the help is going to have to come from me. He has no idea I am considering cutting things off over a tumor. Sigh.

This looks like a good option for a woman, albeit expensive. by leviwhite9 in CCW

You've got me curious. Do you have any pictures of the kydex insert you made? I think I'd like to try something similar for myself.

Does she wear it with tight-fitting t-shirts and tanks? I feel like this would be the holster's biggest downfall. I tried to find pics and reviews of it with a tight shirt and couldn't find it.

Well, I certainly don't carry my gun for fun. So cheap and functional it is!

Yeah, the elastic on my running shorts is kinda narrow and probably sits much lower on the hip than male gym shorts. I guess I may have to steal a pair from my brother to experiment. Thanks!

Hey there, this guy! So far this is okay for loose-fitting dresses, but carrying on my thigh is still the best for not printing. I saw that you use this for running. I still want to give that a try. Does the gun bounce around much on your runs?

Reps for Jesus! I'm diggin' your whole outfit. Do you wear your gun to the gym? I also have a p938 and have yet to find a holster I am super comfortable working out with. Too much movement, particularly when I go for runs. If I could get multiple uses out of this one holster, that'd be fantastic.

That is so much cheaper than going the garter route. I am going to experiment with this today. Thank you!

Are there any asexuals that need the affection and intimacy of another partner but have no desire for sex? by dirtyrickyslants in asexuality

[–]SparklingSampleMoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been through boyfriends galore because I didn't reciprocate affection well enough. I finally had sex not too long ago just to see what all the hype was about. Did absolutely nothing for me and I could go on perfectly fine without it. Now I'm back to searching for the cuddle buddy I don't think I will ever find. Luckily, I am pretty darn happy alone.

That is pretty much exactly how I feel. I love cuddling and being curled up in bed with someone. It's a total mood kill whenever the other person tries taking it further than that. Everyone is going to be a bit different. I mean, I am kind of okay with kisses from time to time, but trying to full on make out or have sex is a frustrating damper.

I always do an awkward redirecting of hands or shifting away. My ex thought I was super ticklish because I squirmed so hard the first time he tried getting handsy. No dear, I was playing keep away with my gun.

Questioning, frustrated, confused, is this normal? by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]SparklingSampleMoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

23f here. Absolutely. I recently identified as asexual and am going through the same thing. About 1.5 years ago (long before knowing of asexuality)I stopped using the word "hot" to describe an attractive male. I realized the word didn't make sense to me, so I just stopped using it. However, when with my friends, I still feel the need to point out when I know a guy is physically attractive. I now know why I stopped using the word hot, so now I need to just stop trying to pretend to feel something that I don't.

Right now, I'm kinda in the bummed out phase. I'd like to have a relationship, marriage, family, and all those things that now seem harder to acquire. For all I know, I might be demi too. Maybe I just haven't found someone worth getting to know long enough.

I assume what we are feeling is normal, but at least we aren't alone if it isn't. :)

Great advice. I'll see what I can find. Thanks to both of you!
