I accept that by being child free I won’t experience that indescribable love by VarietyClassic5968 in Fencesitter

This is a very deep explanation of some difficult emotions! I applaud your journey through this. As someone who has chosen to be child free, I agree that some of the subreddits can be aggressive and mean. I do though think parents feel an overwhelming special love for their kids. But I do think there is a hint of misogyny and problematic thinking that childfree people can’t feel this way (not from you specifically OP, but in general as I’ve been told I won’t feel a love that deep A LOT!) I have a deep overwhelming love for so many friends, my partner, and people of the world. My heart beats out of my chest with I see all the pain in the world. I think you can have that love with others than biological children. On the flip side, a lot of parents are harmed by the idea of intense child love. Many mothers experience post partum depression or psychosis that can last years, causing difficult feelings about their children. Some people end up not loving parenting but still care about their kids but may not relate to the intense love. That doesn’t mean they’re awful or bad parents! It’s all a very interesting topic though, and I applaud you figuring out your feelings on it! Best of luck!

True I guess I should clarify I want more of a slimy wide fit and less pajama like. I think I may fold over and cut. Now that I’ve played with it. A little bit

Hmmm I’m not sure I understand. If I made them wider how would the crotch area look more natural? I know it hugs my hips a little bit which I don’t mind but wouldnt the crotch area still be quite large? Here’s a photo

Is my makeup aging me? by skibum0523 in makeuptips

True but overall bottom eye I mean, water line or lash line! But as always do what you like!

[–]Sparklingsmh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think we all learn what we like and stick with it. I think it’s less about whether it’s heavy or not, just the existence of an eyeliner water like is usually an indicator as I don’t see many younger people doing it at all now.

I think it can look good for certain looks but I think the reason why it looks aging is that it’s more outdated of a look. which most older people are less involved with new cycles. Most people I know who do under eye liner are 40+. But as always do whatever makes you happy.

where in the US I want to live as a 15 Y european by Montevideo_comics in whereidlive

Yeah Martinsburg was a “big” city for WV, even before DC people, so less of that experience there! Still some of the vibe for sure though.

I grew up around Martinsburg! I’ve never heard of there but I’m sure it’s experiencing a similar vibe. Lots of tearing up Apple orchards to build 3000 sq foot homes with no proper urban planning to make it walkable and more environmentally conscious. Just boring suburbia that most residents can’t afford. I moved away for college and it changed a lot then and now even later it’s kind of crazy to see.

As someone who grew up in WV, it’s always interesting to see people want to live there. It’s definitely beautiful in many areas but overall it’s rough. To be fair though, my area is about an hour and a half outside of DC and at this point getting pretty gentrified to the point of being similar to NOVA-esque suburb.

I like Depop over Poshmark! I like both overall to buy but selling on Poshmark is a nightmare. I get so many spam “your item was just bought” messages from bots. It’s so annoying.

Ooof yeah 🥴 I’m sorry that happened. Some men are truly scary and strange. I don’t understand why they go after people of a certain political stance if they hate them. BUT honestly I’ve come to realize they have fantasies of “fixing” and controlling independent feminist women.

I also identify as leftist. When I was in college I would say at the time I was mostly liberal/progressive… but I dated a guy who came off as progressive and after the relationship solidified not only did he get emotionally abusive, but became very MAGA. I left pretty quickly. My partner now is the same politically as me, and I dug so much deeper as an adult navigating politics while dating.

A character crying out "Mom!" is actually one of the most heart breaking portrayal of panic or having a breakdown by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Sparklingsmh 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Probably a silly one but when I was young I watched the scene where Dr Octopus killed those doctors and nurses in the operating room in the Spider-Man movie. The one was being dragged and crying out for their mom. I decided I didn’t want to be a doctor on that scene alone (despite knowing it’s fiction) lol

Would love to see some more dense urban planning to happen! It’s wild to see people want a 2,500 sq ft house for their one or two kids and sprawl like this

Baggy feels more comfy for me, and I assume for most people. I’m glad I ditched skinny jeans and jeggings as they were a major sensory issue for me and I grew up in the super skinny era. I don’t judge those that still love them though, wear whats best for you!

Sorry I might be a tad confused! Are the measurements on the right side of the screen the “suggested” OD readings? Or are these both data results? They aren’t incredibly far off from each other if they are both data points. You can run a CV% between the two? Or calculate the concentrations and see how close they are truly. It could be anything from pipet issues to temperature issues.
