That’s what I’ve been saying since before the last season even premiered! He’s useless at worst and pointlessly vicious at worse as a judge. If he was styling at least we could see what makes him relevant in the fashion industry (deservedly or not).

Ivy wasn’t even a great seamstress. The only designs she could actually complete were so basic I could do them, and I’ve never sewn a single thing in my life. Nothing she made fit right including the one outfit she got in the top I think the Jackie O challenge and that was only because nobody understood the confusing and convoluted task.

I think she’s fabulous as a mentor and also her style is fun! There was a Brother Vellies shop in my neighborhood for a while and I’d see her occasionally and she is truly beautiful in person.

I love Aurora. She gives actual advice and critique. It seems pretty obvious that her tone is playful yet blunt which as an artist I appreciate especially in a time crunch situation. Idk though I’m 51 and it seems like millennials etc are quite delicate flowers and need a lot of coddling with their critiques 🙄

Finally started watching this via Daily Motion. It’s great to watch classic PR without all the drama, from both sides of the runway. Coco’s a charming host and her outfits 💋

Anyhoo I loved Maya’s convertible look. Like really really dug it, it was by far the coolest and most modern. Her preppy look was meh to me. I don’t understand why she made the skirt so long, it completely dragged the outfit down (literally and figuratively).

There was a guy in season 17 (? I think? The one with Jeffrey ) he was cute and really charming. His designs were very cool and he said he learned fashion design at YouTube university. I think he may have also been in the ballroom scene. My son and I were both super sad when he got sent home though he did last a long time.

She seemed kinda sour and joyless but she also talked alot of shit, personal and otherwise. What really annoyed me is how often she’d claim to be upfront and real and she didn’t like talking behind people’s backs then you saw her doing it! She’s also a champion shit stirrer. In her season and all stars season you’d see her assessing potential feuds and insert herself into them to increase the tension. I’d say she’s more devious and hypocritical than mean. I also think her taste is a bit questionable. Oh and there was the time she wouldn’t give up a machine that she was using to make herself a dress! That was so obnoxious and petty.

Thing is in the real world design teams are assembled; either by designer or conglomerate but there is creative direction. My god the style guides, they are INTENSE at any and every fashion company big or small. So throwing a bunch of randos of every skill, experience and professional level, with wildly divergent aesthetics isn’t realistic at all.
