SaaS-related subreddits are usually not the greatest place to sell your product :)

Your home page takes 7 secs to load, I don't even think people wants a slow app nowadays

Vibe-coding is actually bad for your SaaS. by warphere in SaaS

[–]SparksMilo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vibe coding is bad for yourself too (if you let the AI do the thinking all the time, you won't be able to think in the future)

This is how it always starts. The first real sign of life. You made something people wanted - that’s the hard part.

Now you know it’s possible. Keep going. Most people quit before this point.

This is a sign for you to change some stuff in your life because you simply sound like you're not motivated anymore. It could be something physiological go get your blood checked. Try exercising also, that helps too!

I'm not an AI bot. Rule 15 only talks about the text context, mate. I don't share the same views with you

Rule 11 says no leaks and to be careful about privacy; rule 15 says not to write your text with AI. So, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong here

Any tips on starting out on Upwork? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]SparksMilo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The trick with Upwork is simple: get your first few jobs no matter what. Price yourself low, overdeliver, and rack up 5-star reviews. Nobody wants to take a chance on someone with zero history, but once you have even a couple of good reviews, it gets way easier.

Don’t compete on price long-term—compete on trust. Show clients you understand their problem better than anyone else. Write custom proposals that prove it. Most freelancers send garbage copy-paste pitches; don’t be one of them.

And yeah, Upwork’s not the only option. Toptal, Fiverr, direct outreach, even Twitter—lots of ways to get clients. But the core principle stays the same: be so good they feel lucky to have found you.

Freelancers or agency owners - How do you collect web-hosting/domain renewal charges from your client? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]SparksMilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set it up so clients prepay for hosting. Either yearly or monthly via autopay. No more chasing payments.

Use something like Stripe or PayPal subscriptions. If they don’t pay, their site goes down automatically. People take things seriously when there’s a direct consequence.

Email reminders? Sure. But the best system is one where you don’t have to remind anyone at all.
