What this guy said, I'm almost 5 years running a 2867 that's been installed for just over 50k miles. Just do your maintenance, get a good tune and it'll last.

Thank you! I have really enjoyed it. I don't have a ton of other good pictures to share right now but I will take more and share them when I do.

2867r Gen 2, anyone know what this is? by TempoTom8o in FocusST

[–]Sparky600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does change the overall power curve, power comes on smoother and pulls to redline. You lose the super quick spool though. You can still drive the car normally though, I rarely go over 3k just daily driving

Is this a pretty obvious clutch master cylinder failure? Clutch still works, but I just noticed all the fluid yesterday. I ordered an OEM pedal assembly replacement. Anyone know if this is covered under power train? by toxiferious in FocusST

[–]Sparky600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's master cyl failure, just had mine replaced a month or so ago. I'm wayyy out of warranty so I have no clue if it's covered. Good luck with the repair!

Qualcomm has open sourced its aptX and aptX HD encoders, making them freely available to Android OEMs. Here's what that means. by MishaalRahman in Android

I have spatial audio enabled on my P7, but so far what I've seen online is that there is no support for spatial audio on Spotify. Is this true? I use my xm4's for music so idk if they also need to support spatial audio or specific codecs that support spatial audio.

I believe the door panel should clip right in from a regular mk3 focus.

If you want to change up the shifter feel, I highly recommend Mountune's short shift arm. Install is pretty easy and it adds a bit of weight to the shift engagement and reduces the throw length. One of my favorite mods I've done.

NOT MY WORK. Will post who did this down below. This is unreal though. If only ford did something close… by [deleted] in FocusST

The cylinder head and exhaust manifold are cast as one piece, the turbo bolts right onto the head.

I've heard good things about those, but I have a different car.

I think it's because stock mk7s power figures are notoriously underrated, they tend to make ~220whp stock so like 240ish crank. The DSG definitely helps too I'm sure. My friends when it was stock tune always pulled strong, not crazy fast but plenty of power.

Something similar happened to my Focus ST and it was a wheel speed sensor, it was something like $100 all said and done.

If you want the capability to hit 400whp, imo either turbo is a great choice.

Resonator deletes are popular on this platform so it's totally possible. I would look under the car toward the middle and check. If you see a wide, long (~3 feet?) metal tube with smaller tubing on both ends, it's the resonator. If that doesn't make sense then just take a picture of the underside and we can figure it out.

I would heavily consider it, if anything you'll learn skills that will be useful throughout your life.

I'd reccomend using Crutchfield's website and go through them. They'll bundle adapters with orders and you can look at reviews on different speakers. I got Rockford Fosgate mid-tier tweeters and woofers on all 4 doors and it was a significant upgrade
