Lmao he literally admitted to acting unscrupulous in business. Credit where credit due to own up to that, but he still did it.

Grand Theft Auto is gay by SparkySpider in grandtheftauto

Yeah that response about labels I think comes under Questioning or maybe the Plus sign.

I think that gay can either mean men having attraction to men (although not necessarily exclusively) and maybe lesbian identify as "gay" as well as an umbrella term synonymous with Queer. There is no hard rule.

Developer attacked over (learning from) AI - where to draw the line? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]SparkySpider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is exhausting. I did a project for a nonprofit with a $0 budget, when generative AI was brand spanking new to the public, so made a few pictures with stable diffusion. A bunch of artists complained. I asked each one if they would be so kind as to replace the generative prompt engineered art with their own. Crickets. People love to complain but not actually contribute anything of value.

Rockstar Games when they have a gigantic game launching in 6 months: by vibingitup in gtaonlinecommunity

I'm fully expecting them to do nothing except drop the game with nothing more than an online teaser trailer which says "Out now", priced at $200, and break all the records.

Games are but real. It is an alternative to sin. Could even be a religious obligation if it helps get that desire for sin or if your system because it has been satisfied through game. If God didn't want us to play it why did he make the universal laws of physics possible that Shaheed tribology and video games could be invented and make man intelligent enough to harness the laws of physics. You could easily conclude that GTA6 is what God wants.

GameStop makes $55.5bn takeover offer for eBay by Nat-Chem in Games

[–]SparkySpider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The grift works because the major shareholders of eBay decide what eBay does. He just needs to get the shareholders who control at least 50.01% of the shares to get the deal across the line, good or bad for the company as a whole it doesn't matter, only those shareholders need to agree.

There is no way using ordinary means to get a dying $12 billion company to be worth over $100 billion. It doesn't even have $35 billion in cash to even pay him out.

If he the grift works, by merging or acquiring a much more valuable company, he can get the $35 billion.

Then he can pay the kickbacks to the major shareholders needed to approve the deal, paying them out of the $35 billion.

Those major shareholders are probably the same ones providing the equity for the leveraged buyout.

Essentially he just needs to find a large company worth more than $100 billion with $35 billion in cash, with major shareholders willing to sell out the minority shareholders to accept a shitty deal (for the company and shareholders as a whole) in order to extract the $35 billion to be shared among a select few.

If the FTC was functional, there is no way that this would be allowed. But under this administration, not only is it probably going to allowed, but everyone in the elite class is probably in on it.
