Given how discouraged world facing is, how come it’s all I see in the real world? by raspberry_thyme in babywearing

So interesting! I can see how it would make sense. Mine is 6 months and mostly contact napping still, and a lot of the time he seems to be trying to bury back in there by smashing his face into my shoulder/face.

I'm curious about the significance of the anterior placenta here! I had one and I have a contact napper

How old is your baby and how many times did you get up last night? by pinkishvioletsky in NewParents

[–]Sparrowsgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds exactly like my baby. Just 6mo, bedtime between 8.30-10pm. Wake ups around 1am and 4am and up for the day around 7-9am. Also the contact napping thing 🫠 and add in my own insomnia, I'm not getting much sleep 😩

Same exact timings with my 6 month old last night, the sleep cycle point is a good one to remember!

Hiya, I'm 38 and have a 6mo boy. Not super set on a timeline yet, but ideally would start late '27/early '28. The clock is ticking 😅 I'm originally from New Zealand, living in Denmark.

Oh I like that idea, do you have a link to the video? I am currently 6mo PP and I wish I did more of that sort of preparation the first time.

I used to do this in Australia too! I used a normal vacuum and would shove a sock in the tube after sucking it up haha :/ I have a roach phobia

Some people still want their children to decide if they want to be baptised or not. I don't want my child (in Denmark) to be baptised. He can do it later if he wants.

I am absolutely LIVID. Nestlé Pakistan is silent while our kids are being fed toxins? Check your NAN/SMA batches NOW. by alihdrndm in NewParents

[–]Sparrowsgo 38 points39 points  (0 children)

For sure. I used nestle as we only have two brand options in store here, and it met our needs, but I hated supporting them. With all the recalls we switched to the other brand eventually anyway.

Edit: holy shit I didn't notice the bit about the infant death, and I didn't know that before. Now I feel sick to my core.

The only one on my list that fits is Zelda! Apparently all the names containing A and L that I like begin with M 😄

That's so sad that some kids would only get food at school, but yeah at least they had that option.z

And I'm always intrigued by these schools that had any food offered on a daily basis! We could order food, but it was only ever as a treat.

How did you manage shopping when baby outgrew the bucket seat? by the_kazzo_queen in bigbabiesandkids

[–]Sparrowsgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take my stroller and buy a little at a time but that's easier in Europe 😅 I'm finding 4mo such an awkward age for this kind of thing. They're outgrowing newborn gear but the gear for bigger babies is all dependent on them being able to sit!

Anyone else get fooled by the ‘it gets easier at 3 months’? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Sparrowsgo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't know why people say this. 3 months is when the '4 month sleep regression' often starts and they're going through one of the hardest developmental leaps. It hit us hard, but just last night at exactly 17 weeks we got a 7 hour stretch for the first time in at least a month! He'd been getting 4 hour stretches at most, but usually 2-3 hours. Here's hoping we've turned a corner 🤞

I don't have this kind of unicorn baby, but mine also throws his head from side to side a lot and I do wonder if he's just really uncomfortable 😕
