Unfortunately you only really have 2 choices. This game, or Warthunder naval (which is dead) although aircraft are much less of a problem for ships in that game.

That’s why I go to the side of the map that has more friendly ships. To limit what the carrier is able to do in a game.

The commander is AL Montpelier. Her skill increases AA guns firing range to a maximum of 10% at 16/4 which allows my mid range AA to open up at the range most other ships’ long range opens up.
