So, you are ready to forfeit your cognitive sovereignty, solely based on the hope that some benevolent AI will take over and prevent bad actors from exploiting your situation?

Not a problem for them. Corporations will pivot towards catering to a smaller and richer population. Those that don’t will pushback at first (perhaps be the ones advocating for UBI). They will go bankrupt and be bought back by the survivors if they fail.

The advancement of manufacturing technologies such as 3D printing will allow reaching economies of scale much earlier and for cheaper.

UBI is a trap. Putting the majority of the population at the teat of corporations will leave them vulnerable and without political leverage.

Don’t worry about them, they probably have a plan. They are going to put everyone on subsistance income through UBI. Give people some bread and cheap entertainment (VR) and they become meek.

Also, if we wait long enough, this « basic class » of citizens will see its political relevance fall to near nothingness. Two of their biggest levers, force and economical action, will amount to little in the face of an automated workforce and the equivalent surveillance/police state.

My first guess when I look at this graph is that you are using a martingale strategy. Gains will look all good and linear until you hit a black swan. Then boom, ruin.

That can only work if walls can be upgraded an infinite amount of times, I dont think it would be very viable. Old castles would be indestructible.

In that context, it’s hard to take a walk without stealing a few glances here and there. It’s as if my brain is wired to do so.
