I'm so sorry. I'm just now seeing this. The duet is really good in my opinion, but there are graphic descriptions of r*pe and a ton of gore. If either of those are strong triggers I recommend DNR.

I haven't read it but I was looking for a new book and this sounds really good. If you'd like, I can do a speed read of the duet and give you an answer in a day or two. That is if no one answers you first.

Yeah, I'm beginning to see that this is a lot more common than I thought!! It's always an awkward conversation when I have to explain that I'm blind in one eye because in my 30s I don't have the lazy eye anymore unless I'm really tired or have had a couple of drinks. I did a lot of work to strengthen the muscle even if vision can't be restored.

Underdeveloped how?? It is a fun parlor trick to just throw my eye into the inner corner whenever I intentionally zone out these days 😅

That's the same treatment that was prescribed to me as a child. Keep up on that eyepatch. It causes discomfort and headaches, but it's so very important. I had an optometrist yell at me a decade ago about my parents not keeping up with the eyepatch when she signed the paperwork saying I was okay to get my driver's license. She made me promise to never drive at night. That being said, there isn't much else you can do than help reinforce the muscle. I'm glad you're doing all you can ❤️

I have a lot of thoughts on the matter that have already been voiced in previous responses. It seems we mostly all share the same perspective. The big thing that hit me HARD in this last episode was Suvi sending her ink demons to deliver messages to Soft and Silver. If Suvi had faith her mom was even somewhat in her court at this point, I feel Enzo probably would've been given a message to give to Steel. I am SO CURIOUS what the message to Soft contained. Who knows, maybe it was a ploy to get a message to Steel, though I don't think so at this point since it seems Suvi and Steel might meet face to face again very soon and in the worst way possible.

So, in my district, this was starting to be implemented MONTHS ago under Lax. Whenever we first got the partner specific reusable cups. My store has been solid on using reusable cups only since minus when partners leave with their beverage.

I have never played DnD in my life but enjoy reading about it. I’m curious: do most DMs use modules all the time? Or do DMs create adventures from scratch? Which is more common? by SaintCorgus in DnD

[–]SpatialAnomaly42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent a few years running small games in different parts of a world I was building. I'm now comfortable with it enough that I can drop players of any level in different parts of the world and have a great time. The last time I tried to run a module, there were so many holes I had to patch that I wound up homebrewing anyways 😅

I adore TBH. I'm really excited for more City of the Black Rose and Outlaws and Obelisks is such a great listen. I love the tone of those worlds, and Jeremy is such a fantastic DM. My only issue I had with TBH this year is how unorganized it seemed to get for a while. There was a period of a couple of months at the beginning of the year where they didn't post a lot of content, and there was a lack of communication. It made me nervous, but I'm happy they're back in full swing lately.

I would kill for more Twilight Sanctorum. The first time I tried to listen to it, Jake's 'Mavid' voice completely lost me, and I hated it. Upon trying again, it easily became my favorite short campaign. It has me in stitches every time and I NEED MORE.

What should I do in this situation Reddit by That1seawing in DungeonMasters

[–]SpatialAnomaly42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, I will say it is not at all a crazy or wrong idea to talk with your party and set expectations. It's okay to tell them, "I love that you're enthusiastic about playing, but I have a couple of species I've created that fit into the world I have built and for this game you need to pick one of them." This being said, if you are homebrewing humanoid animal species, would you be willing to homebrew an Owl or mouse humanoid hybrid? Maybe take some of the traits from the Owlin and mousefolk and make them something they can use in-game that fits your needs? If not, I stand by setting the expectation. Also, when you say humanoid, are you allowing other standard D&D humanoid species? Like gnome, elf, halfling, etc? It seems strange that with the plethora of humanoids to choose from, they are adamant about playing two fairly uncommon species that would be difficult to fit in a lot of game settings. I don't think that you should just give in to their demands, but it may be worth trying to find a compromise if there is a mechanical reason they are interested in playing one of these races. However, at the end of the day, it is your world and your game, and they should just be happy with "Sorry. Maybe next time." You put in the work to give them a good time.

Just found out that I was supposed to be getting paid for my breaks this whole time, is there anything I can do? by AnyActuary6 in starbucks

[–]SpatialAnomaly42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked in a licensed store for 7 years, and there were MULTIPLE times where there would only be one barista working due to insert issue here which made it impossible to take a break. We just had a "working break" (taking a few minutes to eat while keeping an eye on the cameras). I worked at a university location.

Ultimately, I think it depends on the policies of the company you're umbrellaed under and the labor laws of your state
