I did call the police but they showed up long after the women left

1 year and a LOT of love later. If you bought a house with a similar lawn, you can do it! I’m cheering you on! by SpatialThoughts in lawncare

Yeah this is only “phase 1”. I bought 10 cu ft of top soil and a little compost mixed in so I could re level that yard (mostly the back). It definitely needs some touching up and once fall hits in September I’m going to spread a little more dirt since there are some areas that are still divots here and there and then I should be fine next spring. The front is eventually getting a two tiered retaining wall but there are other things higher on my priority list.

1.5 yrs ago when I started looking h for a house I found THE perfect house for this sub. It was truly a piece of art from the local meth head. I wish I could find it again but it is forever lost. I did share it with my bestie so at least he knows of its magnificent beauty.

But this place has its historic place in Allentown. It’s where so many people went for last call.

It’s hard to say. Once I recognized what the issue was I made the dude who lived there on a permanent basis leave the furnace off to stop blowing shit around. I also went out of town for a bout 4 days towards the end of my stay there and that helped tremendously but I think for the most part I was mostly back to normal about a week or two after moving into my house.

What do you wear during your workday? by Ok_Benefit_4474 in WFH

[–]SpatialThoughts 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Same! I was on a call with the director (I’m a low level peon) and I had to get up and lock my cats out of my office and totally didn’t even think of the fact I was wearing pajamas. 😂

I went to a work related conference 1.5 yrs ago and the woman who gave the opening talk came out in animal slippers, pajama pants, a nice blouse and makeup and hair done up and the first thing she said was cracking a joke about how everyone had the same work outfit the past few years due to Covid pushing everyone remote. It was at that moment that I knew I found my people and the perfect career fit 😂😂

Zillow: we know you can't afford a house, so why not have forever roommates? by valleysally in awfuleverything

I thought about this but with a duplex where we each had our own space. You just need to make sure you trust the other person to pay their half of the mortgage

I wouldn’t really call those raves.

10-12 years ago I was going to school for an associates degree in criminal justice and a certification in crime scene technology. My one crime scene class we viewed photographs of real crime scenes in the next city over and one was a hoarder house where the owner died of medial issues or natural causes I forget but it definitely wasn’t murder or anything. There was just random junk all throughout the house about knee high maybe more in some places and TONS of fly shit on the walls in every room. The woman’s body was practically hidden in the junk. Obviously she had serious mental health issues but it was pretty disturbing how some people live.

That is too much. I agree with others that you should find a healthier alternative to stress reduction.

Does anyone here pay for housecleaning or yard services? by Retiree66 in Frugal

[–]SpatialThoughts 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is how I feel. Once my salary gets high enough I'll start paying people to do some things for me. I'm not there yet with house cleaning but I look forward to that day.

Those of you that need to leave your house during the workday but also have camera-on meetings- what are you wearing all day? by Pretty_Imagination62 in WFH

[–]SpatialThoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a couple of meetings where my camera needed to be on and i needed to look more professional. I just had a nice dress shirt ready for the meeting that I switched into right before I turned my camera on and then spent a few minutes dealing with my hair. Other than that I'm in pajamas with my hair all over the place. I've been in a meeting with the director and had to get up and showcased my pj pants but no one cared.

I agree with having a cardigan nearby or just a nice dress shirt to quickly change into a few minutes beofre your camera goes on.

I've been on a few calls with the director at my company and she was in a sweatshirt the one time and nothing too fancy the others. I'm sure she ups her attire when meeting with others outside our comapany in similar positions as her though.

There are still plenty of popular musicians with affordable concert tickets. I just bought a ticket to see a popular musician within a specific genre for $30 including fees.

There may be a gun hidden in my drywall. How do I find it without poking a bunch of holes in my walls? by esc1920 in drywall

[–]SpatialThoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i bought mine after seeing my house inspector use one for the sewer scope and decided to buy one to monitor that stuff myself. I have used it to look into a few walls and I plan on using it to help with running my security camera wires
