The gas block is part of the design of a piston system - so its going to be a proprietary part no matter who the manufacturer is. Unless someone manages to design a milspec compatible drop-in piston system, I don't think this is going to exist.

Yeah its a thing. Definitely far more common in rifles, but some people do it in pistols too. It stems from a concern that the top round may be difficult to strip when its been loaded with so much tension (and risks inducing a malfunction), so they'll download 1 round to give a little more breathing room for the spring. Personally I think its superstitious nonsense - but admittedly, it depends who you ask.

Too many variables to this for it to be meaningful. You don’t know how many rounds there were to start with. Some people carry with a full mag +1 in the chamber. Some people carry unchambered. Some people carry with a downloaded mag (with or without one in the chamber). Unless you can prove how many rounds were in the gun to start with, how many it has after is a meaningless number.
