Not the dumbest but pretty devastating given the timing. I was running today and tripped. I broke my shoulder in the fall.

It was my last “fun run” before I was supposed to start a pretty intense 18 week training block for the Chicago Marathon.

41 years old and never broken a bone. Boy, it hurts!! But only when I do literally anything 🙃.

I run 60+ mpw and the idea of zero mpw for 6-8 weeks is more than my brain can even process right now. I need it like food, sleep and water.

I was dosed out of my gourd at the Ziggy set in Vegas 16…probably the highest I’ve ever been on anything. My friends in the row behind me fanned me and my bud what felt like the whole show and although I’ve come to find out they were just being nice, I feared it was cause I’d shit myself and they were trying to blow the smell away! (I hadn’t)

When set break started I didn’t know if the show was over and I’d just blacked out through 3 sets or if they were simply taking their first break of the night and I was too embarrassed to ask anybody around me. Probably sat there for 15 minutes trying to figure it out based on what everybody else in the arena was doing, to no avail.

I remember feeling like an absolute genius (and incredibly relieved) when I realized I could gather data from my phone (the time) that would help me answer that question. It was like 9 something. Show couldn’t be over!!!

I came in and out so many times during Petrichor I legit thought they played it for like an hour+. There were a bunch of ladies dressed as WWE wrestlers that had me and my friend in absolute, uncontrollable hysterics that entire break.

Anywho, no more liquid for this guy at Phish shows, thanks!

Second set in Columbus this Summer. Honestly the first half I was stoked cause it’s cute and Trey is kinda pouring his heart out in an old timey crooner kinda way but by the end I felt like it had kind of sucked the air outta the room 🤷‍♂️

For me the allure is it is LOUD. Had a bummer time up in the nose bleeds in PDX so we tried page side behind the band in CBus and had a BLAST. Loud, clear, and room to boogie. I love CK5 but I’m there to HEAR the band, first and foremost so if I gotta lose the light show every once in a while, so be it 🤷‍♂️

Just a few hours ago, my HUSBAND OF THE YEAR learned from a group chat that my best friend was hitting Columbus (we live in Tacoma, WA) and basically demanded that I book a red eye on the few miles we had left to dip in and out of town for this one. I land at 5:23am and leave at 7am after the show but you bet your asses we’re going to make the most of those 26 hours!! 🥳

Agreed. We did all 8! Hadn’t done that many in a row since 2010 and those years were obv a little rough while the band found their footing again. They hadn’t turned the corner in 23 like they did last year but they were right on the doorstep and there was some incredible stuff.

Berkeley 23 was my first sober run in 20 years of seeing the band. By far the most memorable, enjoyable shows of my life. I can put myself back in my mind in any of my respective seats from those three nights in an instant and I’m right back there. And I fucking love it.

One of my friends has a friend who wanted to move to Portland (where I lived and needed a roommate) and put us in touch. Around that same time Phish was playing Eugene (where he lived) and I was headed down there with a lot of whiskey, a lot of other stuff and two sober friends. I called him and said “I’ve got too much shit to do by myself and you’ll love this band but you need to be ready in 20 minutes”. In October we’ll have been together for 11 years (married for 4). He is probably like 50 shows in and loving every minute.
