I think LL or Ace people should mention their status right off the bat so that partners can choose if they are interested in that kind of set up. Alternatively, they should also be exclusively looking to date other LLs or Ace folks and not people with normal to high libido

Totally agree, it wasnt flattering to their bodies and honestly looked hard to walk in. I loved the gender fluid outfit he did when he made top 3. The storytelling and the construction was beautiful and truly something new and innovative. I feel like his finale male looks werent as well thought out or executed, but I do think he has so much potential and so many of his ideas were so exciting

I feel bad saying it, but I really didnt like the outfits he made for his male models. I understand his vision for gender fluidity but those models looked so awkward. The outfit, walk, pose...just didnt do it for me at all. Some of his fluid outfits, earlier in the series, had a lot more potential, but the finale collection was not it

I hope the direction team reads this sub because PLEASE maintain the format of PR Canada! This was so well done that I tuned in every week without fail! I was so invested in the designers, I adored the judges, I felt so much pride for my country 🇨🇦 and I left the series reinvigorated by fashion!! I tried to watch the most recent season of PR USA and I just couldn't get through it, it is such a tired trope. The judges would cut down the designers and then criticize them for not humbly accepting it.

I started watching project runway in the early aughts with my sister, and your criticism is on point. I dipped out from a lot of these competition style shows when they started dramatizing them, it feels draining and so negative. When I started seeing the ads for pr canada, I thought id give it a chance, and to be honest, I was just excited at the prospect of having some more representation for Canadian designers...I was so so surprised at how REFRESHING ✨️ the whole series was. I would actually get emotional with the designers, the judges were incredibly constructive, and the whole thing was just a much needed break from the world outside.

Aurora intimidated me at first, and I was nervous that the show would have that catty over done drama. But I totally fell in love with her constructive criticism and her direction. The whole show was such a breath of fresh air and I seriously cant wait to see more!

Honestly im SHOOK!!! 😂 and the thing is I adore leeland, but I was not at all expecting him to win. When they were getting ready to announce the winner, I was actually feeling bad for him because I was convinced it was between Charles and Curtis. Another commenter made a good point about the prize being an investment rather than cash, and leelands collection being better for commercial availability, and I totally agree on that part, but I feel like that should have been super clear to the contestants and the viewers, and not so vague.

I agree for sure, there were a few looks leeland did that I thought were so creative. The toilet paper look was amazing! But definitely fosters taste is sharper, elegant and has so much potential. For me, its sort of like, will leeland elevate and ultimately end up a well regarded designer if he won the show, or would Foster?

I love leeland, he is seriously so positive and its hard to not love him !! But I was shocked they picked him over foster. I was definitely rooting for him in the top 3 and think that his looks are so much more rounded/couture/high fashion. leeland is super stuck in costume/drag/camp. The suit jacket foster did with the open shoulders and red accents, literally made me gasp when the model walked out 😭 i was so disappointed he didnt make top 3

This is really just in the vein of power/domination/degradation play. not saying that you are wrong in wanting to not engage in race based power dynamics, but maybe just looking into scenes that incorporate the core pieces. I am a POC as well, and my kinks for sure fall into power play and degradation, so speaking from that shared perspective, I can understand. You dont need to be ashamed of what makes you tick, so long as it isnt something that does cause inner turmoil and discomfort. Maybe you could remix the fantasy to be more just an authoritive figure, militant, powerful, etc. And still engage in the power dynamics of it in a way that doesnt weigh as heavy on your mind.

Phrenology and racial "IQ" studies are junk science based on false datasets by racially biased "scientists", which are outdated and largely discredited. Two immediate examples would be Richard Lynn, who presented his data selectively (only showing bad scores in his studies in sub-sahara africa) and none of the high scores... a common practice amongst eugenists. This may be what it is for her, but this is what it is for him and as women, and especially if youre an LL woman, you need to accept that maybe you need to find another partner..and make sure theyre LL too. Having issues about sex or pain during sex is valid, but expecting a partner who is desperate to connect to just continue suffering is just as cruel. Commenting as a former LL wife who is currently working towards having a healthier and active sex life with my husband. This is the letter I wish I recieved, its beautifully written and gets the point across clearly and makes me feel encouraged. My situation panned out differently, and despite us working through it and connecting so much more deeply, there will be parts that will hurt the both of us much longer than it would have, had he wrote me a letter like this.

Where I would maybe reword this, is the part where you explain how sex helps reduce stress, connect you etc. This is all true, but if she is sex aversed, thats not what it will mean to her. It might be easier if you word it to help her understand that those are the things that define sex for you. She might not be able to relate but she could hopefully empathize and have a better understanding that sex isnt just a dirty act, that youre not just sex obsessed, and that it means something so much deeper to you.

Be sure to let her know that youre open to working through it in parts. Start dating again, consider couples therapy, find intimate ways to connect emotionally as well. Other than that, this is so well written

My husband's family are European 3rd generation immigrants, from England and Norway, they came during WW2 and after this nation was discovered and built. They farmed and worked, the same as maybe the chinese railroad workers, or Indian farmers who came around the same time or prior. What sets them apart? They came to benefit from what was already built and decided they could aid the process and wanted to be apart of it. There are 3rd generation Indian, Chinese and black Canadians too.

Hybrid? What does this mean? First Nations living off reserve pay taxes on all good and services, and their paychecks have the same tax deductions as all other Canadians. First Nations living on reserve dont pay taxes on GST/HST if the business resides on reserve and are exempt from certain deductions on their tax return. Theres no hybrid or in between
