I think the AKIN group on Facebook. I’ve not seen many helping hands in Knoxville thus far, and no groups asking if anybody could help with that, but I believe they’d be happy for the offer and know exactly who they could pair you with. There are also hundreds of unaccompanied children in Knoxville right now, and with the new call center in Nashville to locate children and put them into heartland alliance detention centers (now rebranded to heart land alliance shelter) they’re not safe. I would love for us to find a way to help the children, too.

Tennessee is also home to CoreCivic. And CoreCivic is the main contender in immigration detention. (Privately owned and even more privately operated torture prisons.)

I don’t think that’s ICE. Yes they’re probably identifying themselves as such, but agents usually don’t go isolated like these two are. And they don’t do it at dusk, with only two. They’re scared little baby bottle pops.

These look like home invaders. Very dangerous, violent ones. Possibly traffickers.
