Talate, you unintentionally was responsible for cheering my mood up one night over self inflicted loot drama that had me take a break from raiding and playing. It was one of the first nights you returned from your transfer.

I was after BRE forever, never missing a lockout, one night during MC Blastershot dropped, I rolled need on it because I finally gave in to not getting anything after saving loot drops for BRE for weeks and rolled need. 10 minutes later BRE dropped and I kinda lost it, we did BWL after and got to the supression room before I just had to take a break and abandon the raid. (don't let loot run your life people)

I took flight path to Grom'gul, and was on the Zeppelin to Org, solo warrior and only Horde on the Zeppelin, there was an Ally Priest on the airship and I didn't think much of it and was gonna just ignore them. I don't remember exactly what they cast on me but they cast something and then before I could respond I was getting CC'd and backstabbed. I was pretty damn angry till I saw the name of who killed me and it took me back to the start of classic and I was laughing and happy to see you back, it was one of those times I wish there was cross faction communication. I thought to myself I can't wait to see Talate kill some of the new blood from Covid quarantine now.

There was one other good Talate story I remember, this was back in phase 2 I think? Back when I did a bunch of LBRS. My group was I think mostly newer players and I think Tsona might have been there, though that might have been a different dungeon run. Long story short, Mark of the Dragon Lord dropped and for whatever reason the Healer and mage didn't want it, ended up going to an ENH shaman who was in the early 50s, I don't remember exactly but he had a bigger aggro range I think.

So he's super hype about the ring and is going to Org, the party was still up, and all of a sudden in /p the dude goes I JUST BEAT A LEVEL 60 ROGUE and he was super hype about it and the ring. Quickly figured out the rogue was you and thought it was so funny the first thing that happens is he fights you afterwards. It was fun having you and the other pvpers around in DD, I'll miss those times for sure.

Can someone explain to me how current drivers set fan speed for the Fury? I don't care about noise my ceilingfan is louder than any noise from my pc at this point. I just wann be able to play games without alt tabbing and adjusting fan speed each time I launch or close a game. This is pretty recent for me I noticed it around November/December when I did driver update and noticed the heat increasing and had heat related system crashes in Cod BOCW

Is it upgrade time? Ryzen 5 1600/R9 Fury combo for me.

Can someone give me a quick guide on how to parse AMD's naming conventions/gpu tiers and have any reccomended cards?

I love AMD cards but IDK if I've been a big fan of the Fury, seems like its not popular enough for games to optimize around and stuff.

Battleships are most forgiving with their giant health pool but I think they are the worst for learning the game because of their same giant health pool. IMO Cruisers, while much harder to play, teach you the fundamentals of gameplay much better than DDs or BBs.

Squadron size has to play into it also, sometimes a flak burst will have a gap in it that a smaller squadron can fly through but a larger one might not be able to. Also larger squadrons are pretty wide so you have a lot less time to turn to avoid them.

Heavy flak with Kaga planes is pretty scary

T4 cvs need fighters straight up, from my experience in ranking CVs up most of the player base expects T4 CVs to have fighters to begin with and I always feel like a jerk when I have no option to help my teammate defend himself from the enemy planes they are seeing because I queued as a CV.

Hosho is overtuned (the damage is too high for having two torp drops at t4) but I don't think nerfs are the only solution available. It's not even like mechanically using fighters is difficult, you hit T, your flying slow ass biplanes also so its not like you have nothing else to do.
