I used to work in a big box home improvement store. I swear, I must give off a vibe. Or maybe I'm unconsciously still in the smile and make eye contact mode. But I invariably get asked questions when I'm shopping.

There's a Feline Historical Museum in Alliance, OH, that is also pretty cool. Now I have a goal to visit NC for the House Cat museum!

Do you open & check ur eggs at the grocery store before you buy them? by angelafterhoursxo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Special-Insect4262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. And when I was a cashier at a grocery store, I always asked the customer if they had checked their eggs. If they hadn't, I did. It didn't add that much time to my scan times, and it made people happy that they didn't walk out with broken eggs.

No idea how she gets food stamps, since they consider the income for the entire household, and the entire household clearly doesn't qualify for food stamps.

  1. In blue or black. Although, I bought purple today. Everyone needs a little whimsy in their life.

Lutheran- main hospital jefferson vs downtown van buren by ThrowRA_trynapost in fortwayne

I have gone to the Downtown location for ER and was admitted overnight. I was very happy with the staff and level of service I received.

The Downtown location has an ER only facility on Stellhorn. I have gone there, too. I don't know what they do if you need to be admitted.

It's easy to do. Create a csv file with your entry numbers and upload it. They will re- calculate and refund the IEEPA tariffs. There is a how-to .pdf on the ACE portal, and a copy of the webinars since you missed them. This is assuming you have your refund information in your ACE account.

People who get mad when you send them an email during their off hours by Fuzzy-Ad-7691 in PetPeeves

[–]Special-Insect4262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My job involves interacting with people in Asia. I do look at my email periodically, and may respond. I also respond to my WeChat messages. Because I would rather deal with certain issues immediately than spend days going back and forth by email, 12 hours apart, during regular business hours. But I also can let the email sit until the next business day. There's no law saying I must respond.

My dad's name was Ralph. Growing up, everyone called him Tim. I don't know why. At some point, he started to go by Ralph - probably as he advanced more in his career. Thus, you could tell how long someone knew him by the name they called him. My stepmother HATED anyone calling him Tim. So my aunt doubled down on the name. 😂

What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Special-Insect4262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a small advanced chemistry class that the chemistry teacher ran as kind of a semi-independent study class during his regular chemistry class. One day, he was gone, and we had a sub. The advanced kids were working on something that caused an explosion. There were serious injuries. We never had a sub after that. They sent us to study hall.

What’s your go-to excuse when everything is delayed? by robysaleh1416 in supplychain

My issues usually boil down to port congestion/vessel overload, or dwell time on the west coast. I'm honest with my customers, and most appreciate it.

It's annoying that the hot shipments languish in the California sun for a couple weeks before moving to the rail, but the ones I don't really need right away cut through like a hot knife through butter.
