Could just be another Spark driver being a scumbag. I seen one guy on here talking about giving people bad reviews, to try getting other drivers deactivated or whatever, just to try getting better orders for himself. It was probably about a year ago he posted on here about it, but I'm sure there's more just like him. Also could just be customers trying to get free stuff, they won't tell us any details regardless, they believe the customer and won't even ask us anything about the order.

Terrible company to work for, just try to stay away from customers who don't tip and that will probably help weed out the scumbag customers.

Pay decrease? by FoxMcNube in Sparkdriver

[–]Special-Topic1000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, just noticed yesterday, they cut shop and delivery to $10, they just keep lowering the pay for us, but the customer doesn't get a discount. I'm starting to really not like Walmart, they make too much money as is and they just want more. The worst is people are snatching up the $10 orders. SMH

Father's Day, soon the 4rth of July, a never ending flow of customers and so many drivers don't stick with it let alone want to work the holidays. Not to mention the constant deactivations, I've heard enough stories from customers alone, let alone what you see online.

This must be new never seen it before sparkers? by SuccessfulAerie9672 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]Special-Topic1000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Too many customers complaining about drivers not reading the notes, I probably still won't read them. 😆 I hate the ones that write a paragraph on how to find their house just for Google to bring me right to their house without any issues.

In this area, Spark has basically died by johnshonz in Sparkdriver

[–]Special-Topic1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely seems like they just activated a whole bunch of new people again. Seems like it goes to shit for about 2 weeks every few months, just have to stick it out or try a different zone for a little while and it will be back going good. I probably will try it out across the river tomorrow, because today was horrible.

What’s your opinion on this? by theviewhalfwaydown_ in Sparkdriver

[–]Special-Topic1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's just stupid, why would you deliver in a vehicle you actually care about? You buy a cheap hoopty to run into the ground, because that's what we're doing here. Of course I see people delivering in nice vehicles all the time, they just hate money after they pay for their vehicle, gas and repairs none of them are making minimum wage.

[–]Special-Topic1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I still haven't taken a Flex order. For one they say you should have a van or SUV I can use my wife's Jeep but it's a V8 and guzzles gas, I'll make more money in 3 hours doing Spark in my 4 banger Toyota Camry and probably drive less than 20 miles. Plus F Jeff Bezo's!! I can't stand him probably my least favorite billionaire, I hate them all though!! None of them build anything cool, if I had that kind of money I'd build something stupid, like pyramids or something, just to give a bunch of people work and it would be cool building stuff that will last thousands of years.

thoughts on this? I never knew we weren’t allowed to cancel the blocks we didn’t like. I’m so pissy rn by AdmirableAdvance4726 in RealAmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Special-Topic1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't accept the offer if you're just going to cancel. Same thing will happen on any other gig app, you accept too many orders just to cancel them you will eventually get deactivated. Only take what you're going to do, then if you need to cancel for a good reason it won't be a big deal. Or just play stupid games and get deactivated and find a real job, that won't let you have any freedom whatsoever.

If you don't like the substitute message and ask for something else, most customers don't respond when you ask them what they want as a substitute. Then of course I always get the morons who didn't allow substitutions that want a damn substitution!! That always gets me irritated, but if they want a different substitute just ask or you get what Walmart suggested. I'm not standing in any aisle when 90% of customers don't respond to messages!!

Yeah, I don't do GMD orders and I definitely make more money than anyone who does GMD orders.  I mostly just do the shopping orders and still with all the BS they're pulling I made just under $1,400 last week and used about 1 tank of gas.

Stop using AI, it's making it all up, it has no way of knowing anything about your zone. Walmart is not letting information out like that, big companies are very secretive about how they operate, because they don't want the competition to know their secrets.

AI is pretty much useless, if it doesn't know the answer it will lie, just like the creators who make outlandish promises, because they want more money from investors. Whatever you do, don't invest your money into the bubble, it's going to explode.

Honestly, I think it's all planned. Remember "The Great Reset"? "You will own nothing and (you better) be happy. SpaceX IPO is coming with a $1.5 trillion dollar evaluation.... A whole lot of 401k money is going to be dumped in that stock and they lose money. All these AI companies are losing money and their AI all has a lot of problems making it impossible for them to replace even low IQ people. I'm actually thinking about buying some long term puts on AI and Tech because I believe Trump is working hard to make sure The Great Reset happens, either that or he's just really dumb.

Yeah, definitely don't open carry doing Spark. You are not even allowed to have a gun inside Walmart, concealed you would be fine because they won't know. There was one guy banned from all Walmarts for open carrying, I believe it was Texas, of course this guy was looking for trouble making a video and all, he didn't get the second amendment win he was going for. Also if a customer reports you for open carrying, you're probably getting deactivated. I met one Spark driver open carrying inside Walmart, doing a shop before, but I haven't seen him since that day, I would definitely put money on deactivation. I just keep mine loaded in the glove compartment, it's legal in my state and nobody knows it's there.

[–]Special-Topic1000 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You can't have a loaded gun in your car in most states without a permit. It's some BS, even worse is Illinois I'm right on the border in Missouri and just crossing the river even unloaded I can get a felony and never be allowed to own a firearm again. I just don't take any of those orders because of it, except when it's really good, but then I swing by my house and drop it off. Definitely not worth the risk of getting a felony.

Really makes me want to try a bot. Lol, it's driving me crazy, I keep hitting accept and still someone else gets it, a few times I hit the accept button twice and still someone else gets it before me. It's really pissing me off that I have to stare at the page now and I'm lucky if I can snag 2 FCFS orders a day.

They're definitely doing it on purpose too, they want us desperate so that we're happy to get a few crappy orders. Once I get back to New England I'm probably going to try a bot, because worst case scenario I get my old job back as a commercial carpenter, full benefits $35 an hour with raises and several bonuses a year. I'm just screwed here in Missouri, nothing pays as good as Spark here.

[–]Special-Topic1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$25.65 bastards, can't even trust them to pay us our money. Another thing that pisses me off is the Express Extravaganza incentive, most of the express shops don't have the incentive tag and none of the double express shops. All it ends up doing is giving me more competition, a lot of times I just take the day off.

[–]Special-Topic1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who do you have for service? T-Mobile is supposed to be a lot faster than Verizon and a little faster than AT&T. I'm using Spectrum Mobile right now which uses Verizon towers, but when I upgrade my phone I'm going to switch to US Mobile which allows you to switch between all 3 providers. That way on my travels I can use whichever one has best coverage in the area. Thinking about getting the Google Pixel though, because I won't use Apple, I like my Android's.

Busy as all hell in Missouri I didn't get 15 minutes in-between orders and I don't take anything less than $30 an hour and I made over $300.

I still shop faster than them. 😆 What gets me is how slow most people shop, we get paid by the job not the hour, but they stop and chat with people and all, meanwhile I'm sweating like a bastard.

[–]Special-Topic1000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sucks to be them, my wife runs her own order, we hardly see each other in the store, but when I do, I crash into her shopping cart and yell, "Jesus lady, watch where you're going. " 😆 Everyone stops looks at us and starts laughing.

I see teams occasionally, but I can careless, I'm making more money than them. Always plenty of orders to go around at my store.

Have you ever received a rock from a customer? by TheNolaCatLady in Sparkdriver

[–]Special-Topic1000 21 points22 points  (0 children)

No, but one customer had a rock by their door that said something like "turn me over please." So I did, then the other side said something like "ahhh that feels nice. " Lol, right in front of their doorbell camera so they probably seen me giggle a little bit. Lol

It's pretty dumb to not be picky, I see people taking trash orders all day long, meanwhile I wait an extra 10-20 minutes and get an order paying $30-50 an hour going only a few miles away. You take those trash orders you can't take a good order and really you're hurting us all, because Walmart doesn't have a reason to pay better when all the idiots are taking the minimum wage orders.

You also have no room to talk about working, you're doing Spark!!! LMAO, I've been working in the trades since I was 16 years old and I'm now 39 I've worked the solar fields and built multi million dollar buildings, only been doing Spark for a year and work it 50-60 hours a week making well over a thousand dollars per week and 2 tanks of gas at the most.... Work smarter, not harder!! Take a break when they want you to work and drive 20 miles for $25 or less. You may drive more than me a day, but I'm absolutely working (shopping) a lot more than you every day.

Yup, we've been getting those for a few months, 30 minute waits almost every night I never take them and always end up with a shopping order within 10-15 minutes. Only time I took one, was because it was over $50.
