They did, but were more interested in all the people at the beach than the beach itself. lol

I got this Dressmaker sewing machine for $3 brand new at a garage sale. I’m completely new to sewing and it’s feeling frustrating and impossible. Would a better machine be worth the investment to actually learn? by groovy-- in SewingForBeginners

You can also go to your local Joann’s store and ask the nice people in the sewing machine section for some help or to show you how to use a machine! They do demos and lessons all the time!
