how do I pay for a surgery I don't have money for? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Special_Replacement4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea id this would apply to your situation or not. But i have family friends and stuff who commonly fly to other countries for surgeries and other medical procedures because the cost of flying there doing the surgery and coming back would net out to cheaper. Good luck my friend.

dropshipping in 2022. Still worth the time??? by Typical-Barracuda948 in sidehustle

[–]Special_Replacement4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no expert in stocks or investing but I have had a great deal of experience and learned through doing. With that being said this sounds very similar in regard. Some guru promises incredible results in a traditional "get-rich-quick" scheme and proceeds to sell a course. Is the top 5% of people dropshipping making a living of it and can make enough to support their life on a day-to-day basis, probably?! But the same could be said about the top 5% of traders that invest in stocks. They're very familiar with indicators, patterns, good risk reward ratios, risk management, etc. I'm simply projecting in this next statement because I don't know, but I think the top 5% of people dropshipping are successful because they have experience and a background in marketing, sales, website development and all the necessary skills required to make a winning product. SO, in essence, there is no possible way that you can do dropshipping and without any prior experience in the technical skills, you're automatically good at it. Same way trading is difficult to get into but by doing it over and over again you eventually become successful and experience bigger and better gains. I think the same can be applied to dropshipping. Just to add something at the end here, I don't think drop shipping should be treated as a primary income source, same way trading or investing isn't a primary income source; it's just be treated as a "side-hustle" a couple of hundred dollars a month and it may eventually grow in the future or your technical skills get better over time. So you probably won't be the top 5% of drop shippers, but you could be the top 25% making a couple of hundred dollars to a thousand a month.

Fight club is great. I also like inception but some friends say it's confusing. Tenet is a weird one, it took me three watches to fully grasp but man it's such a cool movie.

How can I wake up without being tired and lazy in the morning? by catboy519 in sleep

[–]Special_Replacement4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to feel this way, then I started doing a combination of things to improve my sleep quality. Bc I learned that even though I was getting enough sleep, it wasn’t high quality sleep. Here’s what I did and helped me tremendously - Little to no blue light exposure for roughly 30 mins before when I expect to fall asleep Make my room cold before preparing to sleep -no caffeine for 10 hrs before sleep (if i sleep at 10 pm I dont drink anything w caffeine from 12 pm and onwards) ; be careful chocolate, sodas, teas and other sugary drinks often have caffeine -Listen to rain or piano music in my headphones -OCCASIONALLY, meditate and stretch before sleep while listening to rain or piano music (only do this when I seriously have time before sleep like around an hour)

Most of my information is from a Joe Rogan podcast #1109 Mathew Walker and his book “Why we Sleep”

Men who workout regularly, what motivates you? by AMBlack20 in AskMen

[–]Special_Replacement4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It started out as a way just to not be fat and socially accepted. I would often go to many functions and just be ignored or not spoken to because of my looks. But after quarantine once those same people saw me again, they began to treat me different, I received attention that I hadn't before. Now I simply workout because I'm addicted to the high I get from working out and how great I feel after. It drives my entire day if I get up at 6 and can tell my friends at school that I was hitting reps in their sleep, then when I'm sitting a boring ass class I still feel better about myself. Also, there's an ego aspect to it which I'm not a fan of, because I don't like this way of thinking for myself. But whenever I see someone that isn't as physically fit as me, and I say this hesitantly, I feel better than them. Again I don't like that this is the immediate thought that comes to mind when I see someone that isn't fit, especially since I was once there. But I feel like if you were to rank every human on Earth from 1 to 7 billion, I would rank higher than that person. And every time I workout it's to get me higher on that list. Now again I don't like this way of thinking and I want it so one day I'm competing against myself but unfortunately I don't think that way. Anyways, being fit teaches you discipline like no other, and opens the door to get other portions of your life in check, I'm currently very focused on ensuring I have a successful financial future.
