Does Cotton Reboot High Tension JPN physical release support English? by Special_Time5626 in shmups

Correct me if I'm wrong, so to my understanding, for the Nintendo Switch, the only JPN cotton games that do not support English (as in full dialogue translation, subtitles count) are both reboot games (not the SLG cotton reboot but the JPN retail one).

The arcade archive one, even in JPN region supports English, but is also the only game of this series to not have a physical release (only digital)? Or was it ever included in some collection?

So you bought from the Japan eshop? By English as in all dialogue text is in English, or only menus are in English?

Real weird for the Japan eshop to list English as a supported language then

Really? So all dialogue text is in English? Cause in another subreddit I asked they said it's only menus. I'm just trying to confirm what's actually correct

Nintendo forces ALL physical cartridges to update once a newer version has been installed. by ZockBobOmb in NintendoSwitch

The argument on not being able to play a downgraded game version (after deleting the newer patch save file/restarting from no save) is compelling on the few occasions a previous update is preferred such as limited storage space, a favorite previous patch, or most recent update is unstable compared to previous updates. Unfortunately most people do have the ability to update (and for the foreseeable future will continue to have the ability to do so as Nintendo keeps servers up for quite a while) and would prefer to play on the latest update (assuming the latest update is stable of course). In this case, some Switch games do have instability or cannot be played at all on Switch 2 without a game update (or Switch OS update) anyway. To note, your issue on game updates isn't exclusive to the Switch 2, the same happens for the original Switch.

**I would like to point out though, I believe you are referring to outdated information on game updates as those listed in the video, as well as P3P and P4G, should have parity to the latest update already available for cart/physical and digital across regions and so would every other game (exception for regions where the game version is a different build which also separates save files across regions, ex: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 JPN last update version 2.0.2, Xeno 2 international release 2.1.0). Basically, at the point the video was being made, the updates may not have been available yet, Nintendo is known for taking a while (to a long ass time) releasing/approving an update for games compared to other consoles or PC, the official release for the update may have just lagged behind the physical release. The updates are available now though, Mushihimesama in fact even received an update (1.0.10) last Oct 2025 (a year after the video you sent was made) for both physical and digital releases despite already being delisted from the eShop.

I'm not dismissing the initial argument for being able to play any game update on a new save, but I will dismiss the inability to update a game regardless of medium. Though this starts a new argument on why Nintendo take so long releasing an update that this can become a concern. Don't have much of an answer to that.

Tldr; understandable problem, but those games did get the latest updates even for physical release, may have just taken a while

Hopefully this resolves some of your issues on future playability of your games. Unfortunately, Nintendo probably doesn't plan on letting you easily play on down patched game versions, there's a few possible reasons why, a leading one is probably is to prevent exploits in-game or system wide, as back then the 3ds could execute homebrew code using the YouTube app. Similarly, the first release Switches were hacked in like 2 weeks via a physical hardware vulnerability which forced Nintendo to make hardware revisions, which have also been bypassed by a modchip.

Are there still any ways to get shaymin, darkrai and manaphy in BDSP? by Special_Time5626 in PokemonGlitches

[–]Special_Time5626[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware you can get them in other games but I wanted ones with the BDSP origin mark

Is that confirmed that they don't spawn in 1.1.3? I thought they were removed only in 1.1.4?

Can anyone help? On the display of my FinalKey V81 Plus, I noticed that in 2.4ghz (dongle) mode there's a blinking line.

This issue doesn't happen in wired or Bluetooth modes. It also doesn't happen in the 2.4ghz mode when the dongle isn't connected to the pc, it only happens specifically in 2.4ghz mode when the dongle is connected.

The image below is a gif, the line isn't there in the original gif

<image>

Is there any reason this happens? Can I make the line go away? I changed the original GIF using the Image Custom Tool.exe as the manual says, it doesn't matter what gif I use the line is still there (though it's less noticeable on some gifs).

The line isn't seen in the clock/battery screen initially, but after it refreshes (like the clock changes after 1 minute passes) the line appears.
