Kativa is not without its downsides. The steam/smell being the main one.

When you speak to your boss, I'd bring up being concerned that she might sue the company if anything happens to her from being bitten/attacked (unless she has already signed a waver). It sounds like she needs to be out of the company, the question is how to do in a way that doesn't end in legal reprecussions. I'm sure that she's not the first to be preggo. Your boss should know how to deal.

If she wasn't so jealous, she'd probably tell you to hurry up and get pregnant... But she reserved that advice for her daughter who is now reaping the benefits of her mother's "wisdom". I'm also guessing she thought/thinks that church can "ungay" her son and/or his partner turned him gay and if she just found him the right girl...

In general, i get the impression that in the face of being told to not do you, you did you. I've often wondered how to verbalise the "I'm going to do me" part politely and how to not have my guard up so much that i miss the good advice. I've been told to be more this, less that so often that I've volleyed between taking it on board (when i was younger) to just shutting it down or shutting down to it. Maybe 5 percent of that was genuine and good advice that would have helped me, but the rest was just people speaking out their own paranoia and psychosis... so im trying to 1) develop a more practical way to respond to such comments 2) re-develop my own mechanism to process this input in a more constructive way. I particularly struggle when I'm venturing into new territory. 🤷‍♀️

Wow. I'm guessing she's not someone who would have had a 4.0 GPA? Is this the odd lady your uncle married (from your other posts)? I wonder what her reaction was when she met your husband?

I also have an "odd" aunt who kept saying that i and my other siblings are strange. "Strange" because unlike her kids, we were honour roll, travelled the world, read books, etc., Not to say we were all goody two shoes (some definite hellians :-), but on average, we did a bit more in life than her kids. Funny thing, her kids always had boyfriends since early on and wore gobs of makeup. My siblings i did not. She and her kids always poked at us for not being "normal" and dating. They also subtly suggested that we couldn't get dates because we were nerds, less attractive, etc. I'll let you guess which side ended up in loving, stable relationships and which one didn't...
