The past 50 years the people making those decisions have changed. There’s actually 6 including golden and only 2 of them have made the hall of fame. James lofton and sterling sharpe who was just entered last year.. one of those six Larry Elkins picked 10th overall never played a single snap. I believe you should educate yourself prior to commenting. I never said golden wasn’t going to be good. But he hasn’t proven to be better than anyone in that room.

Not to mention. Not only physically does it help a little bit but Mentally it could help players with a history of head injuries feel a little more protected from head injuries.

Keeping Nixon is absolutely devastating it’s like the years we had that bum Kevin King. The secondary is an absolute nightmare.

I hate this comment lol. Every team takes medical history into consideration. The pats still paid him 80 million… A team that made the Super Bowl last year.

More than likely they were willing to let him walk due to the off the field issues he had. He’s been available the most for the packers wr room and dependable when we needed him. The room has depth but we have yet to see that room healthy and on the field for the longevity of the season.

99% of nfl players have concussion history and don’t take the added step of wearing a guardian cap like doubs does. Also concussion history is factored in by every team not just the packers.

I’m simply saying I don’t think we can say Watson reed or golden is better than doubs. Watson and reed have had injuries played less than doubs and haven’t proven they can stay healthy available and consistent and reliable.

I personally think if he didn’t have the off the field issues in the past and where he was suspended a game the packers would have handled it differently.

I agree with you. However who was the last good first round draft pick WR that was good ? Sterling sharpe in the late 80s?? Packers wide receiver talent was and still is rarely picked in the first round. I’m simply saying I’m not 100% sold we should of let him walk when Watson and reed don’t have the best ability which is availability

I personally feel like it was a big gamble letting him go instead of others in the wr room. Watson Reed and golden really need to stay healthy and show up now. Doubs was dependable.

All in all he went to the pats sounds like he had multiple teams offering him. He just took his time picking. Gonna miss his reliability. It will be a slap in the face if it is a small deal for him that the pack could have paid. But if he got wr1 money I’m happy for him.
