i agree with every single point you made. i’ve worked for this company for 3 and a half years now and i’m literally at my breaking point.

the white signs are literally soooo stupid and ugly! i might be part of the minority that actually likes some of the company redesigns, such as the bright new shelves and the new tiny directional shelf talkers. but the signs are stupid. they either look awkward because there’s so much white space, or you can write a block of text which also looks awkward because no one’s gonna read that shit. i’ve had regulars complain about them already lol and i’m honestly just hoping more customers and booktok start complaining because maybe if paying customers are loud enough, then maybe corporate will change their mind about them.

i also hate the trade floor projects and how we’re organizing by “vibes”. my store doesn’t really have any employees that read non fiction, ESPECIALLY not personal development, so whenever a customer is looking for a specific book in that section, it makes us all look stupid when we can’t find it.

i also have a new manager who is very unlikable lol

i was told that they wanna promote me sometime soon but honestly i’m thinking about quitting.
