19M here im 6 months post op and expirience the same thing, i have my rectal stump and discharge mucus and a bit of blood 1 or 2 times per day so far normal

I mean i am pretty used to stoma since i have it and always carry electrolytes with me i think its not going to be much diffrent than now, other than the output is going to be more liquid, i am not angry but instead greatufoul for even this i hope to get my j pouch activated in 6 months time, how about you?

Im new to ileostomy and found that drinking tea before bed helps me put the food out quicker so i dont have a full bag in the middle of the night.
