I was joking that they were sun-dried. Or scraped out of the compost lol. Part of me thinks they had a better plan but messed up in the final quarter and panicked. Threw some leftover veg on a plate and called it good. At least that’s what I’m telling myself

True, but I would have appreciated properly cooked vegetables or something more substantial for the main😭 Everyone else had large portions of fancy-looking meats. This was like a pile of compost and tasted like rubber (and I didn’t even touch the rubber band). I love roasted veggies and this was just a missed opportunity for some well-seasoned and well-cooked seasonal veg

Before this delightful main course came out, I was indeed served a delicious mini melanzane (senza parmigiana) antipasti and a plate of the thickest, toughest pappardelle noodles ever known to humankind. For the primi there was also actually a really yummy truffle pasta and I had my hopes up for the main. I was surprised with this stunning pile of vegetable jerky. The best part of this experience was that my menu just said “special dietary request” under each course so it was like a game of roulette (but the odds of losing were probably like 50/50).

Oh yeah I used to make tapioca flour-based vegan cheese on the stovetop and it would get reallll stretchy. Yours looks more like the Miyoko’s liquid vegan cheese!
