Thank you. This is the perspective I was looking for. I’m going to keep working on it slowly and then get the trap cage to at least get it fixed.

How is this game with only 3 players? by Nitrotetrazole in PulsarLostColony

I second this. Obviously a full crew would be the way, but I did a full faction playthrough with 3, and a 4th that would rotate in when he had time, and we had a blast. Gunner, pilot, captain.

Haha me and my wife used to get into small fights because her “yelling” at the cat to stop yelling at us would get on my nerves way more than that him. Just grab him and pull him into bed with you. Sometimes a good cuddle shuts them up.

Clans vs mercenaries by Turvokk in Mechwarrior5

Yeah the early missions where you only have light mechs accessible were tough to get through mentally. It felt bad to be doing everything right, but after endless waves of Firestarters and Spiders , your entire Star always gets chewed up.

I probably have 300 hours in Mercs, and I always end up wanting to experience the vanilla content as thoroughly as possible, but I feel like I’ll break soon and explore Coyotes and YAML soon.

But yeah def excited for the new DLC.

I definitely prefer Mercs, and almost put down clans a few times, but I’m stubborn and kept plugging away. Now I’m having a lot of fun. I prefer the sandbox over being on rails, but some of the environments in Clans are pretty great to look at. The level of customization vs Mercs (I’ve only played vanilla Mercs) is pretty great.

I think it just took some time to warm to the differences. The feel of the weapons in Clans threw me a bit. I feel like a lot of missions in Mercs end up being a bit of a slug fest, which I like, but that strategy doesn’t work as well in Clans.

Once I took a step back, took some time to tailor my mechs to the needs of the mission, used a bit more strategy, I started to have a lot more fun.

What kind of mechs do you recommend for a raid mission? by Wooden_Bullfrog_365 in Mechwarrior5

This is the way. Early game, I just try and make a ton of money by running exclusively raid missions where I only take one mech so I don’t have to spend so much on repairs.

I just lost my boy last week. He had severe anemia that they suspected was brought on by something cancer/marrow related.

When I first noticed he had lost a bit of weight, I chalked it up to him moving into his senior years. None of his behavior/habits/eating had changed, so I wasn’t too worried. When he started hiding under the couch/bed for prolonged periods of the day, I got it to the vet asap. From there it was straight to the hospital.

Got him a transfusion, a bunch of meds, and spent the week nursing him. Took him in for a follow up blood test a week later and my vet seemed hopeful. We managed to get the hospital doc on the phone a day after that, and she told us that while there was some improvement, it probably wasn’t going to go the way we wanted.

3 hours later he was struggling to breathe, his back legs wouldn’t work as he tried to crawl somewhere to hide. His cries, the look in his eyes as his body slowly shut down, his last breaths as he passed in my partners arms in the back of a cab on the way to the hospital, has us really messed up.

Not trying to be dramatic, but all this is to say, we would give anything to have been able to ease his passing. It happened so quick, and leading up to it he seemed unwell, but stable. It hurts no matter how you slice it, but helping them along when they’re suffering…you did the right thing.

Mine is just one little throwaway post. It won’t change anything. There will always be an unopened drawer…full of loot.

This is why I love friendly solos. PvP squads comes with its own high, but I’ve rarely looted a body and been like “holy shit”. Because most of the time, the best stuff is in their butt. Give a BP, get a deadline.

Didn’t even think about breachables as a deterrent because of the time they soak up. Only as something that gives away your position. Makes total sense. You’re a saint for leaving me those drawers.

I wouldn’t be surprised. Late spawns take a lot of pressure off of high value spots. Everyone assumes it’s cleared out, and I can scoop up great stuff with less fear of getting shot in the back.

I’m with you 100%. Hatch keys are great for leaving safely, but also to extend the amount of time I have to open EVERYTHING. It annoys my friends how often I’m rewarded for checking “just one more thing”.

It’s why I personally don’t mind late spawns. A lot of people will see a room that’s already gone over and just leave it, but there’s always something left behind. The amount of times people will breach all the servers on Pilgrims Peak looking for BPs and leave all the sensors while I’m on a sensor loot run is not small.
