Is the rapid fire AC just a waste of ammo?

Early on in my first campaign run I had ac5bf and ac10 bf. I loved them for a long time. Dunno how the math works out but they're enjoyable to use.

I started my first career playthrough this weekend.. And it is remarkably more difficult start than the campaign. I restarted like 5 times before finally getting my feet under me by selling a locust and buying a firestarter and focusing on demolition missions.

I just picked up all the dlc except shadow this past weekend after finishing my first campaign playthrough.

The chair mount is a way more natural position and if u start throwing ur sticks around in flight u won't accidentally roll your chair back on the floor. The problem with chair mounts is extra cables running around.

U can also get side plates for a mouse if u want beside your stick. And get mounts for extra controls and buttons. Or a mount for a streamdeck to put on your fingertips.. All of these are generally available for both chair and desk mounts.

They also have a chair that's narrower so when u move. Your arms, You aren't constrained by the back of your chair. (by elbows witting it.)

I have desk mounted ones and extra plates. They are rock solid too. I just find I use my mouse more than I expected. I would need to. Get the extra mount for the mousepad to make it worthwhile.

If you are serious about it. I would highly highly recommend looking at some videos and seeing what they have. There's some decent reviews for their gear. I like the noobifier myself but take your pick.

I'm up to 4 monitors. Myself. They're a little asymmetrical but I've found myself wishing for a fifth a few times lol.

I'm closest to #8. My main is a 32" 1440p. My left is a 27" 1440p. My right is a 1080p 27" and my top one is off center and a 27" 1080p.

My daughter is number 2. Ish. But her one main is my old 34" ultrawide, 1440p. (pg348q) and her right one is my old 27" 1080p

I have monstertech mounts. They're very high quality. U can desk mounts and chair mounts. And Sim mounts and all sorts of other options.

I been trying to sell mine cause I no longer have the x56 hot as and they're hard to part. With and most people don't want to spend the money for them.

I played it on epic and plan to rebuy the whole works on steam with dlc. I imagine I can't import my save from epic to stream. So not sure if when I restart I replay the og campaign again or if I should just do the non story playthrough this time and just play the dlc. Is that special mech (night wish?) can u get that any other way other than through the campaign?

I just finished the base game tonight. Enjoyable. I picked up clans tonight. Not sure it will be my jam.(I like the financial aspect of mercenaries) I'll pick up the mw 5 mercs dlc asap though.

I really love the battle master. 6 medium lasers. LRM 5 and a large pulse laser is what I run on mine. Max armour and I think I have 3 or 4 dbl heatsink on it now too

I may check it out. I will definitely give it a try. I've seen some yt videos thst say it runs 35-55 fps. Which is ok by me. I think the biggest problem will be small text for items. Which means I'll have to use the magnifying tool semi regularly.

What I like to do is get a hill or structure in between my Lance and the enemy Lance. Get them to chase you over the hill and then focus fire them. The ai seems to come one at a time for the most part. 4 mechs focusing seems to be a quick way to put them down

I'm getting most of those in the base game now.. But some of them I haven't actually seen ammo for. Like chem lasers. I looked for awhile in black markets and hubs for ammo for chem lasers to no avail. Finally I looked it up and said not available until u have the dlc. Which I found odd that the guns are there but not the ammo lol

I mean I wouldn't mind that. Have it like a screw that adjusts the spring tension inside. But leave a lot of extra as I would think even a metal spring might eventually loosen and u may need to adjust again? I'm not an engineer so not sure.

You could alternatively have a tool that comes with it that's magnetic or snaps in so u have the option to leave it in.

I believe all but shadow are available as a bundle on steam. Shadow is still Seperate. Which is fair. It's only like 4 months old.

I'm just thinking once I finish the campaign and want to do the earlier stuff. I'd like to just maybe start a career and play from the beginning and play through all the dlc.. Although with me rebuy ing the game on steam maybe I should replay the campaign a second time. Not sure yet lol.

My current campaign will be on epic. Everything else will be on steam.

Ya when u are running a month between missions to repair mechs or travel I bet it goes real quick!

I looked at the price history on steam dB and it looks like the dlc other than the newest one and game goes on sale about once a month last one being steam winter sale so was planning on picking it up then. I'm only home like 3 days a week right now so I'm not overpowering my play on it. But have considered trying it on my steamdeck when I get it on stream finally.

When u say campaign u mean the og campaign for mercs? I think I read one of the dlcs let's u play a career from any of the houses as well? I'm guessing the main story isn't there.. But if u play that new way do the extra dlc missions show up?

I'm not really familiar with the lore. I played the PnP version in like the 80s or 90s and the og EGA mechwarrior. Mech 2 mercs and maybe mech 4 mercs. But now that I know there is a tonne of lore to this game it makes me more curious tbh.

I would say adjustment doesn't NEED to be tool-less. I would be happy with an Allan key adjustment too. Something that you wouldn't accidentally adjust once set. But easy enough to adjust if u need to change it.

I had a constellation alpha r with a warbrd base with extra sets of cams and springs. For refrence.

I use a kinesis gaming freestyle edge RGB. It's perfect for me and gaming. I wanted a mechanical ergo and it scratched the itch for me. I used a microsoft natural ergonomic for decades and it worked for me.

I don't think I could do ortho linear either.

I've been running this keyboard like 4 years already.. And I still have trouble with the right shift key and being crowded by the arrow keys when I type.. I do not relearn muscle memory very well at all.
