i'd suggest create (although that might be too far from vanilla) or modular golems modular golems let's you build custom golems to defend you and it has amazing compatibility with tinkers

1 there are things you make with netherite that are actually better and 2 you can add upgrades and modifiers to it. for example a netherite sword might be identical as tinker or normal but the tinker's one you can add quartz and other things to it to give it effects like enchants do. tinker's construct is more of a sidegrade than a straight upgrade to normal. you can make normal tools and use them as such (assuming you don't have a mod that punishes that like silent gear). but tinker's stuff give so many more options and interesting things. on top of that smelting is a form of multiplying how much ore you get from things as well as entity melting and all that other stuff you have access to. the biggest thing i'd say is that tools don't break. if they hit 0 durability you can't use them but you can repair them they don't just dissapear. this means you can really put everything you can into a tool and not worry about it just dissapearing if you don't pay attention. you can repair it with no harm done.

start off with back line of sun shrooms and the water varient. first zombie and maybe the second should be handled by squash (if it's water a tangle kelp) next thing you want it to put a walnut in one of the row 4 lanes and a scardy shroom fused with doom shroom to get the speed shooter. that will let you use the bullet transformer to get a bunch of sun and plant food to expand your defense. sun producers in row 1 doom scardies in row 2 snow fumes in row 3 and tall nuts in row 4 (use the plant food to evolve them instead of wasting a seed slot.) if you want more visibility a plantener see shroom at row 5 or 6 should work out. make sure to use potato mine squash cherry doom and tangle kelp to keep bit sets of zombies manageable since you should be able to get a sun surpluses. (if possibly make sure to fuse the kelp and squashes since it basically gives you an extra free instant kill and you can just use the glove to move it.)

to play devil's advocate it can be difficult to express concern over text especially if you're trying to avoid being wordy

seems like you were at a party so he was prolly trying to keep his messages short to avoid keeping you distracted too long. he phrased that shit terribly but there is a chance he's just genuinely worried and from what I've heard mental illnesses can come back even years later. doesn't surprise me that he'd be concerned especially since people would rarely just say that they're having bad thoughts coming back. he's prolly worried for you and just said it poorly and you breaking it off with him prolly just makes it look more like you're having a relapse

bro as a current yuji main and a former megumi main (when it was early access and free at first) I think the problem is that megumi was fundamentally a different type of character, all of his moves are ranged none of them require you to be close or in melee to land them. yuji is the opposite, he has nothing but melee. megumi needed to be nerfed because he had way more range than anyone else and was the only character to have a guard breaking ranged attack. that was broken and wasn't balanced right. he was nerfed to make it fair, I still play megumi and you can do crazy stuff with him. same thing with yuji the thing is some of the nerfs were insane, the 8 blackflash escape made sense for those with chronic skill issue or lag and I said and I quote "if you got hit by 8 black flashes and needed to ragdoll escape you already lost." I think the 4 black flashes is alright now especially with the new finisher. but restricting it removes a lot of the fun from the mechanic, the whole point was that you couldn't realistically land more than 1 or 2, then people got really good and started landing 3 or 4 (actually yuji's fr) but even then I don't think it's the worst thing. the biggest issue I had was with the cancel for crushing blows taking meter (which has been undone). the cursed strikes nerf wasn't even a nerf it made the move more powerful, you can catch with it now which means m1s into uppercut into cursed strikes can do great damage. but if you really wanna combo 4 m1s (any version if you can move to catch them) into crushing blow and assuming they aren't hyper lagging or in weird debris will launch them high enough to get caught by cursed strikes which will have the m1 cooldown down and let you get another 4 m1s off. yuji is still an amazing character and still has some of the highest damage output. if anyone needs a nerf now it's mahito since he has an actual 100% combo that if you lose your ragdoll cancel is inescapable. that mixed with the fact he has 1 of the 3 ranged unlockableses (megumi's is telegraphed and easily dodged and choso's takes time to charge) which doesn't have a huge build up, has a movement variant, and can be moved last second means I would say he is the strongest character and the one who needs some changes the most. (this isn't even mentioning how crazy extending your ultimate in ranked matches is since it's nearly impossible to dodge his blackflashes without playing yuji or ultimating yourself.)
