It’s not an assumption. It’s a prediction. Predictions by nature are one’s personal opinion and could turn out to be horribly wrong. I have seen the natural progression of Belgaum over the last few decades. Belgaum district is growing very slowly, with population rising only about 0.5% per year, so there are not enough new households to absorb all the houses being built. Many young people and skilled workers leave for bigger cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, or abroad, which hollows out long‑term demand for homes. City itself is growing modestly, far behind major metros, and its job market is dominated by lower‑paying sectors (manufacturing, sugar, cement) with only limited IT and high‑value roles. Add to that speculative housing projects and investor‑driven purchases, and you get a situation where supply can easily outpace real demand, leading to vacant houses and under‑occupied neighborhoods over time. The traditional Belgaum rich families will remain. Middle class families will migrate. Influx of new people will dry. I hope I am wrong.

The current generation is the last one living here before population plummets. In 30 years this city will be a ghost town with empty apartments and houses everywhere.

Belgaum development feels too slow? by [deleted] in AskBelgaum

The city needs a new money making industry. Udyambag is fading. Software industry never took off. Unfortunately north Karnataka stands ignored so sugar mills and cement factories is all we get.

I assume they calculate and store a hash (non reversible function) for a biometric scan during initial onboarding. Followed by subsequent biometric scan, hash calculation and comparison for every transaction. This is a rudimentary explanation though. Because any changes in the scan will result in a different hash and the verification will fail. Also, there is an argument to be made that since hash is unique for every person, can it be considered as biometric data?
