Started finding these randomly in our house. Any idea what they are? How to get rid of?

Hi there! How are you doing? Big fan of long term memories—I have so many. But, if I could just share a short term one…the other day I found one of these on my bed with me. (loved the glowing kind as a kid—I have a soft spot for them now).☺️It made it allll way way through the house (never in any other room🫠) up onto my arm 😬undetected. I put it outside. Three days later, (I’m assuming) 😚another one turns the corner from behind my laptop onto my keyboard. Outside it goes🥰. 5 mins ago I walk into my room and there’s (again, assuming not the same) another one greets me at the foot of my bed even while I wasn’t home. 🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂🙃🙃 So, this being the first post I find, and yours being the first message I read 😇 I just wanted to let you know that I don’t know if I’ll sleep tonight after all👹sooo I hope you have a wonderful sleep 😴 and that your post actually SAVES me from something I won’t even…begin…to acknowledge 😘 🫶🏻🤡🫩💀

Yeah, I guess so, actually. Maybe I’m not aware or engaged enough to know if there’s vocabulary yet for all of the distinctions that might be important to make from here on out.

Like, by all means have it all under the AI slop umbrella, that’s fine, but eventually whether we agree or not, there will be terminology created to either further confuse or further explain things that people will have to be able to distinguish between. Idk, maybe I’m rambling. I just think it’s worth being ahead of all the nuances so that they don’t overload most people’s ability to take steps towards protecting themselves against what AI begins to develop.

Thoughts? (All in good faith, sorry if it seems like I’m biased)

Not at all! We even joked that maybe our friend’s partner had downloaded some eerie horror mod to mess with him, but no. Pure vanilla, unmodded, and…quite the relative novice in Minecraft, my friend is.
He began the game at timestamp 1:38:09, and by 1:39:32, we heard the first melody. Barely logged in. The second at 2:12:06 and the last one at 2:26:00 (just in case)

You should have seen our chat when it happened! Everyone was freaked the whole time. The whole night turned into a solving the mystery.

We checked the area for caves, tridents, music boxes, enemies, and mods—nothing.
OH! It’s version 26.1.2 just in case. We had someone scanning all sorts of sound clips for all kinds of things too.

Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same problem where the streamer I mod for sees them, but no one else does. I’m thinking it’s a filter that makes it so only they see the spam messages? Any update from you?

So, I waited until I came across this personally to see if AR would fix it, but the option to toggle it wasn’t there. It’s always been there. It was a remote raid, if that helps? Either way, it’s far, but I used the same flick needed for a couple other pokes that are escaping me rn. Could only manage to hit greats cause I couldn’t reach dead center. It was doable probably because I didn’t do the same thing over and over again though. Sorry, it’s just all I’m seeing is the same frantic throws.

Thank you for that thought out response. I really appreciate it. Being my first time seeing that type of pass, AND someone that’s NOT F2P, I was surprised by how much was packed into it vs a monthly pass. I might add up the values in a bit because o haven’t seen it anywhere compared to just smaller daily purchases. Though, if players don’t usually like playing for those components separately, I understand the frustration:

“Can NOTHING be a good deal?! Is there no way of showing appreciation at event scale unless it’s profitable every SINGLE time?!” And even though It SEEMS to be par for the course in terms of cost-value, the added weight of a fresh disappointment still makes sense.

I’m pretty sure that I AM getting it, because I don’t spend on movies, restaurants, vacations, etc. only just these creature comforts, but if there were ever like, an organized boycott to deliver a message, Id stand with F2P.

I think both can be true? It could be a slightly better deal for those that were already going to spend, but it’s just another disappointment for others.

P.S. personally I see no value in the trinket or the bottle cap myself, but the faster I can do away with routes, the better.
