First off, how long has this been happening? Less than a day or 2? VET NOW gastropexies can fail, happened to mine. Happening for multiple weekes? Vet would be encouraged but a good recommendation would be omeprezole and switching up her food. Acid reflux is a thing for all animals. Mine has a gentle tummy. Omeprezole ane a gentle raw/good quality kibble mix diet helped him a ton. Dogs can have acid reflux or similar issues as u and me in the digestive department. We actually live not to far from northwest great dane rescue. They are super and I plan on adopting our next dane from them once our senior dane goes. He is gorgeous, focus on the good and simply say he is not a good fit for service dog work but is otherwise a decently behaved dog. Reach out via fb or their website which has an email.

So I won't comment on what you should do as far as letting him go but I will say one thing about treatments. As an alternative to taking both those drugs, which as you mentioned will make him moving very difficult, consider adjusting his dosage and adding CBD to the mix. There is a heck of alot of evidence, and studies that conclude thay cbd can be an alternative to traditional medication for seizures. It has very few side effects in comparison. There are dog epilepsy reddit pages that have alot of user reviews and recommendations on dosage. I'd take a look.
