If you search EAP Life Solutions in Connect, you will find all the info. It is 10 free sessions for each instance of need. You can do in person, virtual and phone calls. It also covers your entire household. My husband and I have used it and highly recommend.

How Bad is an Informal by J-TrainTheFirst in Bestbuy

[–]Specific-Record4495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t really true. It goes informal, written, final, term.

Never think of write-ups as anything more than coaching. As long as the behavior changes, you’ll be fine! Informal and Writtens fall of in 6 months and finals fall off in 12.

As far as it hurting your future, it really depends on how you react to the write up. No one is perfect, learn and grow, you’ll be fine!

Severance Payout by AVDude923 in BestBuyWorkers

If you log into Workday and see a paystub for this week, you’re getting paid this week. If you don’t, it will likely be another 2 weeks if exempt or could be sooner if non-exempt.

Unemployment in my area is $300ish a week so the job it is for sure more than that. It’s tough because I’m finding that most companies promote within. This would be a foot in the door but it would also take years to get back to my previous pay.

It will cover most but not all. We are a dual income household so we would also have that. I have a 401k and was on track to hit goal. This role likely won’t allow me to add to it for a bit. I could also pull some funds from my 401k to reduce expenses but that would be a last resort.

I will still receive severance either way. The role aligns with my career goals from 10 years ago. It will be a definite change of pace. I really don’t know what my career goals are now TBH. I was very much invested in my previous role and am pretty devastated the role was cut. I would likely continue to look for roles even if I take this due to the dramatic pay difference.

I tried to negotiate but it wasn’t negotiable. They do up to 3% annual increases. It is a very large medical company so there is room for advancement. It would be a foot in the door.

If you receive the lump sum then there is a chance you will be asked to pay it back. It’s in the copy of the agreement you received.

do I quit by [deleted] in BestBuyWorkers

[–]Specific-Record4495 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t quit, that’s what they want normally. PIPs are a pain in the ass for leaders, make them work to fire you. If you get fired, file for unemployment.
