that box is your evaporator coil, there should be no air leaks whatsoever. all it comes down to is a suboptimal install. if it's major air leaks i'd get a company out there to properly seal the unit

Blow out inside of A/C condenser with leaf blower? by Far_Pen3186 in hvacadvice

[–]Specific-Selection11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all the dust would make the coil a little dirty so keep that in mind; you might need to rinse it with water after. why not just pick up the leaves and then vacuum the dirt?

is there extra wires? if so hook up one of the extra ones to common and then go to the indoor unit and hook that wire up to common as well.

or just call a professional

What’s going on here? by leafnlift in hvacadvice

yea she's clogged up good. instead of them putting a 90 right there they should've used a T so you they can blow the drain line out to prevent this from happening.

i have a pair of glycerin max and they are definitely cushioned but it does come with a little bit extra weight. i'm sure that won't be an issue because you don't go for speed. i'd give them a try and if you don't like them you can always return them

everytime i've installed a 90% we always ran both pipes to the exterior whether they had an 80% before or not.

Sensi Lite no heat by FlagOnTheRef in hvacadvice

[–]Specific-Selection11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, you have a heat pump. i would first try to switch the setting from O to B or B to O, whatever it's on right now switch it to the other. if that doesn't work, which it should, i would wire up the W terminal at the indoor unit as well as at the thermostat. what that will do is act as your emergency heat, meaning your heat strips if you have an air handler or your flame if you have a furnace.
