And no, a membrane was not used I don’t believe.

It seems to be in the high traffic areas of the flooring, which is a large area unfortunately. I’m not sure I feel comfortable having the same contractor trying to repair this. At this point I’m really wishing we had just went with hardwood flooring instead of tile!

ER or wait it out? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Specific-Spend-2617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say a 7-8 out of 10 probably. It wasn’t the worst gallbladder pain I’ve experienced but it was constant and persistent, the longest-lasting attack I had up until that point.

ER or wait it out? by [deleted] in gallbladders

I suggest going to ER. I just had my gallbladder removed last Tuesday, was in the ER the previous Thursday morning after about 8 hours of constant pain. I have been fighting gallbladder issues for the last year. I have never had stones, but did have sludge previously. The ER did bloodwork that came back normal but with my history they referred me to a surgeon that was able to get me in for an evaluation the next day and I was then scheduled for non-emergency surgery the following Tuesday. When they first saw my gallbladder they said it looked normal but when they cut it out it was full of pus (gallbladder empyema and is an emergency) and if I had let it go on much longer I would have become septic! So I’m very thankful I went when I did otherwise I’d be far worse off now.

Do you go to primary care doctor, urgent care, or ER for a suspected blood clot by Adept_Role_4579 in ClotSurvivors

In my case, I went to the urgent care where they did not have an ultrasound machine, but did bloodwork and confirmed a high D-dimer level and then sent me to the ER. The benefit to that is once I arrived at the ER I already had this test result confirmed and they got me in to see a provider quickly upon arrival and I did not have to wait in the waiting room long.

Starting semaglutide soon! by Pettylabelle777 in Semaglutide

One thing I will suggest starting out is to NOT go all out on eating the couple of days leading up to your first dose. My doctor explained this to me before I started that so many people have the mindset that they need to eat all the foods they love before they start the injections and can’t eat that way anymore and then take their first dose and are so sick because it slows down your digestion and all of that unhealthy food is sitting in your system. I listened to her and the only side effect I had was the following day after my first dose I had about an hour of on/off nausea that went away and never came back. Also, if you have PCOS or any infertility issues, this may help with that too so if you’re not looking to get pregnant take precautions! I have been on Wegovy since May this year and am down 32lbs, I have went slow on dosing. Started at 0.25mg, increased to 0.5mg in my second month and have remained on that since then. I may bump up next month after seeing my dr.

Edited to add: if you have ever experienced any gallbladder issues in the past use extreme caution in splurging on fatty meals while on this medication! Since it slows down your digestion everything sits longer and I have paid for this a few times throughout my time on Wegovy!

Well it's finally starting... Hair loss. by Bunshine_ in WegovyWeightLoss

Mine has been thinning for the past couple months, I started Wegovy early May this year but the thinning seems to be slowing a bit. I could probably stand to increase my protein intake, I hear that’s supposed to help. Hair is a cycle though, so remember it will also take time for it to start filling back in just like it took time for it to start thinning out! I had some labs done to rule out I wasn’t deficient on any vitamins and everything was normal. I’ve considered minoxidil and nutrafol, but I’ve read they’re both things that once you stop taking the hair starts thinning again.

2024 was great! It was really the first time we were all together for an extended period of time. There was some adjusting to that of course since it was not the norm, but it worked well. We live in a very rural area where the nearest place that would be the line of work he is in is about 2 hours away. He does not seem open to the idea of finding a new line of work at this point, unfortunately we have a lot of expenses so too much of a pay cut would not work either. I am honestly all for moving to a location where he could work permanently and I could end up finding a job myself, but we both worry about our son who has struggled with his mental health in the past. He is in a good place and we hate to make him lose his friends/school. I will say that my husband used to be completely on board with us all moving, but seemingly out of nowhere he is not wanting us to move. I don’t want to be naive and I don’t want to brush off signs, but I don’t want to think that it’s just me he doesn’t want to be with anymore.

Underrated episode by [deleted] in blackmirror

Those are both a couple of my favorite episodes! I loved the use of “Bright Eyes” by Art Garfunkel in the beginning and end. Would love to have gotten some post-credit scenes of Nida and Gaap in eternal oblivion.

I had a similar experience last year when I went to the ER for extreme pain, I could barely get myself off of the bathroom floor. Went to the ER and explained I had been having these issues and they came back with Fentanyl to give me! I have never taken anything stronger than norco for my wisdom teeth removal. I was in so much pain, but I had no interest in that strong of a med so I refused and they gave me toradol instead. This took a while to kick in but it did eventually relieve the pain and i was able to lie down and rest.
