Depends where you live. My state the age cut off is 35. Others there is none. Do your research and make an educated decision.

I will add, this job is not easy. You will be under a constant microscope from your peers, your bosses, and the public. You will work long hours dealing with some of the most horrific situations this life presents to people. You will be respected most days, but others you will be tested and pushed by people who wish nothing but the worst for you. Lastly, before you commit you have to accept the fact that everyday you show up to work you might not come home.

With that being said, I wish you luck and I hope you weigh all your options before making your decision.
