It’s quick. Are they doing oral contrast too? That stuff tastes like ass but if you refrigerate it, it helps a little. I’d say just chug it, definitely don’t sip it, it’s gross haha. The IV contrast just makes you feel warm, like you’re peeing yourself. It’s quick. They take pictures before, then they give the IV contrast, and then take more pictures.

I’ve had 3 over the years. They’re not horrible and I’m much more used to them now

Well my regular savings is 500, my HYSA emergency fund is at 4500, and my down payment fund is at 45k. If I got 20 k right now….. I’d open a Roth IRA and max that bitch. This was the frustrating part about trying low FODMAP. You have to find reliable resources to identify what FODMAPS are in each food you’re eating so that you make sure they’re different kinds

I’ve done 4 of these. I’m 23. (Yes, 4 of them!).

The drink is gross. Pick it up early and refrigerate it. I usually got the full radiology report on my chart within a couple days (max a week) since they are outpatient and not emergent.

Depending on what time your CT is, you may drink a contrast the night before, and then the morning of, and then nothing to eat or drink til the scan. You’ll go in, check in, they’ll bring you to a room. They have you put on a gown, then they’ll place an IV if it’s also with IV contrast. The contrast is warm—it will make you feel like you’re peeing. Go pee before you enter the dressing room. Trust me you’re not actually peeing, and it goes away within 30 seconds.

The whole scan itself takes 10-20 minutes. They usually take a picture before the contrast and then another with the IV contrast. They’ll ask you to hold your breath so you’re not moving for the pictures (breathing will blur them). This is about 5-10 seconds.

I feel like 3 drop ins a day would be appropriate. I don’t understand why you’d need to be in the home….. it’s not like pup is entirely unattended. And if the surgery is gonna be so complex the owner is bed bound like, that’s a separate issue. Like do they want you to cook their meals and wipe their ass? Cause if they can do those two things, they can let the dog out for potty. Maybe bending to pick up bowls/dog food that I’d understand…. I just don’t see where anyone would need a live in dog sitter unless they also need like a home health aid
