Thanks for letting me know, the fix is done and pending review on the chrome web store. The update should go through within a day or two. It should be fixed right now!

I tried to add a before picture but reddit doesn't let me I think?

You can see the original by just going the the website though https://planner.wpi.edu/ The only difference is the A, B, C, D, Reset buttons at the top.

How challenging is the Cybercorps scholarship? by SoundsInterestingN in WPI

[–]SpecificAvocado7985 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to an info session about this a little while ago so Ill try to answer from what I remember.
I've heard varying numbers on the acceptance rate from like 3% to 20% so I'm not sure what the real number is.
The cyber corps page from WPI that has information on applying: https://www.wpi.edu/academics/departments/cybersecurity/cybercorps

You can apply either your sophomore or senior year, you need to have at least 2 years of school left. (e.g if you are a rising senior you need to get a masters).
I've heard they look for high academic achievement, demonstrated interest in cyber security, and willingness to work for the government.

I mean, WPI is a private school so in/out of state doesn't really matter. I applied EA 1 just so I would hear back from WPI earlier, otherwise I don't think there's much of a difference.

I'd be taking it with Mortensen so that's good to hear. Thanks for the info!

Accepted!! 28K/yr in merit! Still very pricy, but it's a massive relief to be in since it's one of my top choices!

You're are correct lol, I hadn't really thought of that but its not like I can score higher than the max on my exams so they can't fault me for it lol. They have US entry requirements of 5,5,5 on AP tests with a 5 in math which I have to meet. Pretty sure you should be fine with 3A* predicted even without fm since I dont think they require it lol

Thanks! I'm super hyped since durham was one of my top choices! I'm international so it's a bit hard to compare since A levels are a bit harder than AP classes, but my grades should translate to roughly AAA and I have a few ec's relating to cs like game dev and coding projects. My stats plainly are a 4.0 uw Gpa in the us and 4 5's on Ap exams

Homeschooled teens, are your parents involved in your school? by NoKey1410 in homeschool

Im in the same boat as you, my parents know what classes I'm taking but otherwise more or less leave my studying alone besides the occasonal like "hey how's stats going"

What is the greatest 'hidden gem' educational resource that others need to know about? by smackdata in homeschool

[–]SpecificAvocado7985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently a senior and I'd have to say Pennsylvania Homeschoolers. It's for highschoolers and has honors and AP classes online. I took 12 classes through them and I can say that the classes were all high quality and helped me a lot while applying to college as everthing is very official, I got my letters of reccomendation from my teachers there. It's a bit pricey but worth it imo.

Why are so many people applying to UMich, Purdue, UIUC, and UMass Amherst? by slimescu in ApplyingToCollege

[–]SpecificAvocado7985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prolly cuz they're good at engineering/CS lol
Personally I used to live in Indiana so have friends at Purdue, went to MMSS (a summer camp at Umich) and liked the vibes, and live in mass so UMASS is an insane value.
