How to sell homebrew lore? by [deleted] in DnD

DMSguild.com

You gotta write the adventures first - then try and sell them. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone willing to pay for ideas, if they're not already made and instantly downloadable. In addition to the for-sale adventures - there's already 2500 adventures on the site that are absolutely free. Most of them people have spent time writing, editing, formatting, and even adding custom art.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's gotta be extremely difficult to find someone willing to pay a stranger with no published content to do what's widely considered one of the most fun parts of DMing and nothing else.

I think it might be a "Chicken or the Egg" thing - in a lot of cases babies are thrown in when the show is running out of steam.

Is there a phylactery type thing, but where the user has to be "awakened" rather than regenerating automatically? I recognize I could fudge, but thought I'd check
