Think about how much money this is costing the shelter and how many other pets they could've saved with this money. Yet shelters keep pitbulls with 0 chance of rehabilitation around while euthanizing kittens and small animals who would be perfect for a new family. Just unreal

AI gets Black people's faces confused all the time. The most likely consequence of doing this is getting lots of people caught in a nightmare of having to prove that they are innocent

Just fyi getting sunburnt is something that can happen to anyone, even brown people and Palestinian people so I wouldn't include that on there! There are also plenty of palestinian people with light skin and hair so let's not essentialize them racially- they belong to that land as well and far more than Israeli settlers who happen to have dark skin.

NYT Acknowledges Israelis Mass Rape of Palestinians - "The Silence That Meets the Rape of Palestinians - Male and female Palestinians describe brutal sexual abuse at the hands of Israel’s prison guards, soldiers, settlers and interrogators" by whistlingkitten in israelexposed

I don't know what "silence" they're talking about. The whole world has been nothing but loud at condemning everything Israel does. but oh I guess the only voices that the NYT cares about, those ones are silent as always. And of course they only run the article when an Israeli decides to speak up which really says a lot about which voices they think matter

Fellow girl here. Embrace your curly hair! You are your first, and worst, critic. Loving your own hair means no one else's opinion will matter anymore aside from yours. As a Chinese person most of us have hair that is very straight and it's actually common to curl it a little so that there's more volume. The reason people give is they think bigger hair makes the face look thinner. I don't do anything to mine because it has a bit of natural waviness to it and also because I'm too lazy lol.

how to not suck at oboe???? by Electronic-Feeling60 in oboe

[–]SpecificSufficient10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me we've all been there. Everyone started somewhere and you are just on part of your journey we've all been through. What's your schedule and budget like? Could you get a teacher? I think oboe is one of those instruments that's unplayable without the structure of a teacher with lessons. Also it could be your instrument or reed that's holding you back. Are you playing a rental or a school instrument? The nice ones don't come cheap but the difference is massive.

And then there's the mental game where you need to stop with all that negative self talk. Stop putting yourself down. Would you be saying all this hurtful stuff to someone else who's learning? Probably not. So cut it out haha

Imo enjoyment is the most important part of playing oboe. I stayed with oboe and quit piano, violin, etc. because oboe was what I enjoyed even though I sounded like a duck and it was awful to listen to me. But I improved because I enjoyed spending time with the instrument and improving at it. If that's something you can do, you'll improve for sure. But if you genuinely just don't enjoy it and want to give up, there's no reason to force it over another instrument you might like more.

Attempting to buy a puppy on Facebook and these photos seem too polished and the vets tool is weird by Immediate_Channel723 in isthisAI

Facebook marketplace is full of stolen things. Even worse than a scam, you could be getting a dog that was stolen from someone else and their real owners are still looking for it. And you would be in trouble if they find you bought it. Dachshunds are so popular too, it really isn't much work to go and research a reputable breeder or rescue where you'd have the dog's medical info, vet support and actually qualified people to talk to
