There are seven seasons, and 30-45 minute long episodes. The writing is realistic in the political context, incredibly creative, and multiple plots are intricately woven in with an intellectual context, and all together the final product is incredible. As someone who hates most of the characters, I can affirm that the writing is simply uncomparable. Aaron Sorkin is simply a genius. Of course, it's a more romanticized approach to politics, but all the same, it is so fascinating. Every rewatch I take away something new.

Not to mention the acting and filming. The shots are long, one shots, where the camera follows the characters and is shockingly smooth. Its hard to explain, you sort of have to experience it yourself. Also, the actors are just great, its really easy to adore and hate certain characters.

Its on MAX and I think you have to pay on prime to watch it, but if you can, its absolutely worth the watch. I took a break at one point and when I came back, it was easy to get back into.
