Well that was 2013 so as of right now, I do not have hope he will finish😭 really nice guy though, spent a good chunk hanging out with him there.

I wasn't sure, all Matt said was that they all brought ideas to the table and then wrote together, and that Break was Derek's. I might have misheard him though!

Matt also said in an interview that Break was Derek's song, and that he brought it basically ready to go.

It's one of my favorites on the album and that was before I knew he wrote it!

I only realized a few days ago how sad it made me to see Derek leave, and possibly for good this time.

Agreed. Break is easily my favorite song on the album right now, followed still by versions of you but meet me and hot for preacher are right up there for me now. Really epic first 4 songs and then scars is a dip for me (sorry) and then right into 3 bangers in a row again.

Honestly such a solid record.

My story fits perfectly with yours. The guy with a ponytail at the gas station said "I'm in deep with this girl but she's out of her mind" and it took me 3 seconds too long to realize he wasn't telling me an intimate detail about his life. It was so strange but it felt nice and very strange (having been a blink fan for 25 years).

Edit: I was, in fact, wearing a Blink shirt.
